Sea Kayaking to Tatoosh Island is a good choice for a morning tour. A bus picks up travelers at the cruise ship ports, drives about 20-30 minutes to the launch point. Bald eagles fly right in town, but the rafts slowly passed Eagle Island with a visible nest and two parents. There are alsoe also seals. On Tatoosh, which means "sheltered", from the rafts of 16, guests are divided into groups of 8 in double kayaks. Gliding along the shore, one can see jelly fish and orange and purple star fish. The guides were very informative and patient, interesting and just talkative enough. It is relaxing and refreshing, especially after being on a ship. After the tour, cookies, water and hot chocolate are provided. This was about 4.5 hours total. The tour company is Southeast Exposure and are recommended.
