Getting to and from Taboga Island is relatively easy. There are two ferrys now to choose from: Calypso Queen and National Tours. The Calypso leaves daily from Panama City for Taboga but on Tues, Wed., & Thurs. does not return until the afternoon. The National Tours ferry leaves every day from Panama and Taboga. It is also more than twice as fast giving one more time on the beach or making a quick trip into the city for supplies from Taboga. Both ferries leave from the Amador Causeway.
If you are going to stay the night in Taboga, and have a kitchen to cook in, plan on bringing all the food you will be needing as the island stores have little to choose from in the way of meat, cheese, snacks, wine or specialty items. They do sell beer, rum, some vegetables and fruits, coffee, juice, and the little bakery bakes fresh bread daily, albeit the white, fluffy kind.
As there are no ATM's in Taboga remember to bring cash as most places do not accept credit cards.
