Killarney town has a local public bus service. This is a town where you get around mainly by walking, cycling, taxi's, self-drive rental cars, hire cars, local tour operators or the famous Jaunting Cars ( Horse Drawn Buggy's ). The town itself can be easily navigated by foot. The nearby portions of the National Park, namely The Killarney and Knockreer Estates can be accessed by foot, bicycle, and jaunting car. The Muckross Estate portion of the National Park can be accessed from town by bicycle, shuttle bus and jaunting car. While you can drive or take a taxi to any of the park entrances, most areas of the park provide very limited access to motorized vehicles.
