Visitors to Runaway Bay who plan to arrive by air will have to travel either through the capital city of Kingston on the South Coast, or to the nearby Montego Bay.
Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) is the major gateway linking the city of Kingston to destinations around the world. It is located on the Palisadoes peninsula in the southeastern part of Jamaica, near the historical site of the old city of Port Royal. It is approximately 30 minutes from New Kingston, and about an hour and a half from Runaway Bay. KIN is served by six car rental agencies, and their service counters are located in the Business Arcade on the western terminal building, outside the customs hall. Taxis and bus service to Kingston is also available.

(MBJ) is one of the largest and busiest airports in the Caribbean. It serves as the most popular airport for tourists visiting the north coast of Jamaica. Taxi and bus service is available at MBJ, with shuttle buses available to take you to Runaway Bay. Additionally, most of the major car rental agencies are located at the airport.
