One needs to be aware that this is not a "picture postcard" tropical beach. The sand is brown silica, not white, the water is murky, and the shape of the bay as well as inconsiderate behaviour by tourists on boats causes it to be filled with garbage, especially after rain. It looks like Miami Beach. If you are looking for the "picture postcard" experience you may want to try Punta Cana or another island.
