Northern Territory Tourism: Best of Northern Territory
Travel from the Top End to the Red Centre to take in Australia’s most eye-popping sights
The most sparsely populated region of Australia, the Northern Territory is truly a place to get away from the crowds. The skies are sunny and clear most days in the bottom half, called the “Red Centre,” making a trek through the Outback to natural wonders like Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park all the more appealing. The Top End is a tropical paradise with rocky coastlines and magnificent waterfalls. It’s home to Darwin, the region’s capital city, known for its cultural markets, innovative restaurants, and brilliant red sunsets over the beaches.
