We traveled by bike from Basle to the "Europa Park" attraction Parc, the Adler Gasthof was our first stop with our two small boys. The staff was very helpful, they made some place to put the bikes and the trailer into a garage.

The rooms (we had one in the roof) are very kind and comfortable. We had a big room, with a double bed, a guestbed (full bed) and a folding bed for the youngest provided by the crew.

The restaurant offers local specialities which are prepared with love.

I totally concur with what the previous English reviewer. Charming and very homey. The room was fine and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable with the warmest down blanket we've ever experienced (and we've experienced quite a few). The restaurant was warm, friendly, very local and the food was excellent. We don't eat meat but did well with the soup, salads, and fish dishes. Everything prepared fresh and served beautifully. Saturday night must have been family night (or something special before Christmas) because there were lots of kids. We enjoyed it but it might be a bit loud if you're not crazy about kids. But families with children would probalby feel very comfortable. We had to leave early to catch a flight and so we missed breakfast, but they graciously prepared a bag breakfast for us to take along. They also provided us with a thermos of coffee for the room. The price was very reasonable (we paid 88 a night with breakfast in early December). They did not ask for a deposit.

Charming, super clean, cozy. The family that runs the place are so gracious. The daughter speaks very good english and helped interpret menus, areas for wine tasting, and directions.
The food is unbelievable. I had venison and it was the best meat I've ever had - any meat! Make the stop. You will love!
