Great pre-booked dinner and breakfast, good chef, upstairs airing cupboard for wet gear from walking the Dingle Way. Bedroom amenities fine, toilet and shower a bit dated but hot and lots of water. V comfy bed. Good local bar South Pole pub.

Room tip: V accommodating for walkers needs!

This was a perfect, comfortable quiet place to rest on our hike along the Dingle Way. The couple who own the Old Anchor were so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant had excellent vegetarian options and very fine pizza (my standards are very high for pizza and the folks here exceeded that standard!).

My favorite place in Ireland is the Dingle Peninsula, and the best place to stay is the Old Anchor Inn in Annascaul. Brian and Beata are fantastic people who operate a clean, cozy B&B that serves great food in a welcoming atmosphere. Both are extremely knowledgeable about the area and offer sound advice on hiking, tourist destinations and the many hidden gems on the peninsula. I can't wait to return!

Stayed here last week for one night and would definitely recommend it because it's a very pleasant place to stay and Brian and his wife the owners are very hospitable.

The rooms are very nice with ensuite that are very well maintained.

DVD player in the tv in the rooms and they have a hugh selection of dvds and books to choose from in the lounge downstairs.

Very good selection for breakfast, continental breakfast available along with a hot breakfast ;)

Also they turn the dining room into a pizzeria restaurant in the evenings and the food is great quality and is perfect if you get in late in the evening from a long day touring around the Kerry region.

But, and this may be the princess and the pea syndrome, my bed was very hard and uncomfortable. I really appreciated the B&B location outside Dingle -- easier parking, less noise. Brian and his wife are masters in the kitchen --- you have to have pancakes at least once.
Also, it was small enough to meet and interact with the other guests. I will stay again if I get back to Dingle.
