We stayed here last night. The room is nice even though the bathroom is very small and the beds are very firm. The service staff is very friendly and the price is much cheaper than the places in the surrounding area. It is a great place if you are on a budget and looking to stay here.
The restaurant is very warm and friendly, with a rustic charm. You almost feel like you're in someone's home. It was a cold, snowy December night when we visited, and the fireplace was nice for ambience and warmth. My traveling companion is from Slovakia, and she chose one of the specials, sauerbraten served with steamed bread. I had a hearty bean and sausage soup, fried pork tenderloin (similar to schnitzel) with sweet potato fries. We both had hot tea to drink. The food was delicious, authentic and reasonably priced.
Stayed 3 nights in standard room.
Room was spacious loft type . Stairs on 2nd were not comfortable.
Bathroom was very small.
Taking in to consideration price I can recommend Furkotka for all ( except Luxury seekers)
Very nice hotel with comfortable rooms. A very helpful and friendly staff. A good place to stay and enjoy the beautiful region. Close to the local transport. Near of wonderful landscapes. Near the local supermarket. The restaurant furkotka has also a good quality and is very cheap for travellers. You can enjoy of the local food that is very delicious.
After visiting the lake my partner and I dropped in looking for a hot chocolate.
The staff were great and the hot chocolate, one with raspberry and one with prunes, was exceptional. Thick and full of flavour!
I also decided to have some cheesecake, as it looked good from the display. I wasn't disappointed and would have had more!
Next time we are in the area we will drop in for sure
