This place is great. We have had so much fun at Earnest and Fidel’s. It is now a Tapas resturant After Irma with great small dishes and really great Margaritas, Mojitos and ?? The music is always good and the food and Drinks are excellent. We have gone there just for a drink with friends and for a light dinner. 5 stars. Our favorite in St Martin. (Actually, everywhere).

Almost a year after hurricane Irma and after a huge renovation Ernest & Fidel opened up again a few weeks ago. We had the opportunity to sit at the terrace, enjoying a drink and have some of the tapas. The owner Philippe is great, friendly, helpful and fun. The tapas (only just a small selection yet, but expanding) are great. Happy he is back.

We were in Ernest & Fidel in 2017, before the hurricane.
The food was great, the setting marvellous and the hosts extremely friendly.
I was afraid that the show would face hardship (I guess it has) because of the disaster, but now I am very glad that is still operating.
We are hoping that we can return to beautiful St. Martin very soon.

My husband and I had two meals and both were good. The yucca fries and fajitas were particularly good. Prices might be a bit high for the quality.

This place is more than worth the little drive to Cupecoy Port, which seems (unfortunately) to remain very quiet after Irma. Felipe is an amazing host and makes everybody feel good, the food makes everybody happy, and please do not forget the Mojitos! Two visits were not enough, so we need to come back. Til next time!
