We ate here most nights during our stay at the Lodge. Food good though menu fairly limited. A little slow on the bar service at times. Dog friendly and warm.

Thank Stephanie H

Had a meal while staying at Lodge in the Vale. Food was delicious. Slight mixup with steak sauces and luckily this didn't spoil food as nothing offered to sort it, thus only 4 stars. Friendly service though and beautiful cut of meat.

We were staying down the road with no food on offer walked here on pitch black road but was not disappointed. Highly recommend.
Lovely food plenty of choice and fresh.
Well worth a visit.

Arrived with no booking on Saturday in Feb. They accommodated me although it was busy and my meal was lovely They had a 3 course steak menu for 21.95 or 2 courses for 19.95. Plenty food! Lovely menu. Nice pinot
Staff member even offered me a lift back to my BnB as it was a half mile walk in the dark on the main road. I declined but very kind of the young chap!

Good spot for a lunch, welcoming and there's a lot of space and the food was fine. Lads in charge seemed a bit nonplussed when a dining chair disintegrated under another customer and didn't seem to know what to do about it (he was ok, but no real management presence to deal with accident book or anything more than a quick check he was OK, which he eventually was). So - choose your chair carefully; these could probably do with replacing. Aside from that, admittedly a unique incident, this was fine and a solid place after a morning up the mountains.
