Very nice place to stay. All staff so friendly and responsive to our needs. I had hiked in the adjacent conservation area and wasn't paying enough attention and ended up stepping in a bog the day before were to leave. Not a problem; shoes laundered and ready to go next morning and maybe $5 for the service. Our bungalow was great; great shower(which is a big deal for me) with plenty of hot water. Special for me as well, from solar panels.

Staying at this hotel was a charm! Firstly, we have had one of the best and warmest welcomes here in Costa Rica, the staff are absolutely professional and kind. The rooms are really like a tiny house, we felt so good staying there, it is so peaceful and relaxing it is really perfect for a 3-4 day stay in Monteverde. There’s a lot of things to do around like visiting Monteverde’s reserve, zip lining, coffee farms and the restaurants and shops are only a few minutes by foot. We recommend this hotel you must stay there during your trip to Costa Rica in Monteverde.

I get it that there is no pool and only one restaurant (with delicious food and wonderful service. But this beautifully renovated hotel has gorgeous rooms with a complimentary minibar and selections of their hair and body products. Amazingly, there is wifi in our Casita.
The staff here is so fantastically helpful. We dined last night at a fancier hotel where we had an acceptable meal at twice the price of our one dinner here and where some bugs bit my ankles badly. Today I asked if any of their products would help, and the staff cut and peeled aloe from their garden and brought me gooey relief. And did I mention the free laundry?

We enjoyed our stay at Senda mostly because of the hostess and the bar/restaurant staff. They all work very hard to make sure you are taken care of. The hotel and room definitely do not warrant the high price we paid of $450.00 US per night. We were shocked actually after staying at a lower priced much higher end luxurious hotel in Arenal for less, maybe it is the remote destination. It was comfortable, clean, had everything you needed but definitely what would be considered an average property in all aspects.

Senda is one of those places where the superb service of their staff makes all the difference. Of course the rooms are beautiful, trails lush with cloud forest and humming birds, but what really makes you feel amazing is how friendly and attentive everyone you meet is and how they strive to cater to your every need.

The junior suite we stayed in was sparkling clean, ample and with a comfy little terrace that we used as a tranquil reading spot. Inside, a practical mini fridge with complementary drinks and a large sofa overlooking the gardens. There was also a sturdy table ideal for boardgames. The bed had a comfy mattress, soft sheets and pillows and was made up twice a day. The bathroom was likewise spotless and with a great shower-head.

The staff helped us out with all our tours, booking, restaurant reservations and remembered our food allergies and preferences for our all meals. The hotel grounds and gardens are extremely well kept. There are two or three private trails and guests have free access to Aguti private reserve within walking distance via a private trail.

It was our eight time in Monteverde and this has been by far the best hotel we've stayed in and one of the best services we've ever received, anywhere.

Room tip: The hotel has a golf cart to carry your luggage (or you!) from and to your room in case you need it.
