Upscale beachside hotel in Gexto. A refreshing breeze off the ocean and nice sunset view at the end of a workday. Within walking distance of great Basque food or vist the hotel's fine restaurant. A treat and my choice if you visit Bilbao.

Hotel in perfect position close to the beach and not too far from center of Bilbao. There are 22 rooms only, some facing the see, some on the opposite side. It's far from any noisy place.
Restaurant is present in the same building. Good breakfast. The rooms are clean.

We planned to stay here a night, maybe two, but extended our stay to three nights because the hotel is so relaxing and because Bilbao - just a Metro ride away - is so fascinating and rich.

The hotel is on the beach - we had an ocean view, but not a terrace (room 15). There's a couple of restaurants at the bottom floor, with an open-air terrace there, which made the visit more congenial and interesting for us (we enjoy people-watching).

We were there off-season, so it was pretty quiet, but we got terrific service all during our stay - friendly and very helpful. Comfortable king-size bed and great bathroom facilities - no rust or mold that I saw, and the shower was perfect.

The breakfast options were tasty and perfectly adequate. We have been in much larger hotels with much larger spreads, but even in the off-season there were several kinds of meats and cheeses, and the scrambled eggs were tasty. American cereals were also available.

This is not a hotel where everyone speaks fluent English, but everyone did try! If you're going to Bilbao, you should brush up on your Spanish in any case.

Multiplex movie theater nearby, but avoid the food court (you do that anyway, right?). In the off-season, the nearby restaurants are closed on Sunday nights, so be prepared to eat at the hotel that night.

First of all, I would NOT recommend this hotel. The hotel looks nice from the outside and the rooms are decent BUT the cleanliness and the breakfast is unfortunately bad.

Nasty stains on the bed sheets, rusty bathrooms appliences and mold here and there, especially in cornes. The A/C does not work. And thats for the good part.

The worst part of the hotel is the unfriendly personal and the extremly bad breakfast, one I have never seen before. Rusty and dirty silverware, dirty dishes, glases, cups and tables. Verly low quality of the food, very limited selection. Some of the food looks like it has been lying there for days. Dry egg. Flys everywhere. Very limited fresh food. No or limited cooling of the cheese (only one selection of cheese) and meat. Besides the quality, it takes some time until new food is served and only if it is not run out yet.

Resumingly, I will not come here again. The price of the hotel is that of a 5 star hotel but the quality is not even 2 stars.

Beautiful hotel in an old bathhouse, great view (sea view room is worth it!!). Very friendly staff, breakfast nice with fresh juices and fruits. Spotlessly clean, huge comfy bed, great shower. Located directly at the beach, we enjoyed the walks along the promenade in the evening. Metro stop is a 10 min walk away. The only funny thing was that we had to "climb" out of the window to reach our terrace, which was quite cool for us but might not be for others.
