The food was fabulous and so was service. I can recommend Lapland plate as starters. We had a great and cozy dinner with my husband.

We booked our Lapland holiday experience via Tui for 3 nights, 2 adults and 2 children (8 and 4) half board, one bedroom apartment with sauna. Flights with young children were fairly easy, quick boarding and Tui staff providing entertainment and pushing on the Santa and Christmas experience to keep the magic going! No issues arriving in Lapland, take luggage to the coach and at the airport pick up the snowsuits, boots and thick socks. No need to buy/bring your own outdoor clothing, the snow suit and boots were enough. Just your hats, snoods etc to bring. The Saaga fell short of a 5-star review because these did not have their rooms ready for 4pm as they stated, we arrived at 1pm and had a 4-5hour wait for the room, a little frustrating but we made most of it, getting snow suits on (in reception!) and taking kids sledging. A family that travelled with us had it worse and we’re not checked in until after 6pm. Only afterwords we understood the hotel had issues with cleaning staff, it would have been nice if they communicated this at the time. Anyway, Tui reps got involved and helped solve and compensate, so the problem was forgotten about by the next day! 🙂 Breakfast and dinners were included, food was varied and tasty. Rooms are between the Saaga and the Tiger buildings, our room was in the Saaga building, clean and spacious beds comfortable. The sauna in the rooms was a nice add on! 👍🏻 The visit to Snow Village was absolutely memorable, here you get a taster of Snow Mobile, husky and reindeer rides as well as the visit to Santa! It was well done and you have a few hours to explore and have fun in the snow. It was possible for us to see the Snow hotel which was just amazing to see, at this time the hotel was not fully opened but being built from the snow and ice. You can book 2hr excisions for snow mobiles, huskies and reindeers at the hotel via tui reps. A family of 4 to take the huskies experience was not far off £500, be aware of the prices! I done a snow mobile ride which was £140 for approx 2 hours. There is a dedicated sledging area free of charge and the gondola to the top of the mountain is €12pp and you can have a hot chocolate at the top! The last night is a festive meal (very busy) and the tui staff put on theatre show for the kids!
In all, this is a once in a lifetime experience, I think Tui have got the formula spot on! Yes it’s expensive, but it’s worth it! The kids will always remember the magic! Highly recommend it.
Came in for a 3 course dinner with my spouse. Every food had its own thing and complimented each other. Bolete ice cream was a really tasteful suprise which we had to come and taste second time few days later.
Our food came cold, and we asked if it could be possible to get it heated up. That was no problem of course but the way the situation was handled wasn’t professional or up to standards of a place that claims to be a 4,5 star hotel.
Absolutely no apology and arrogant behaviour from the waiter. Too bad Saaga Bistro is the only restaurant open till later and customers don’t have other choice but that shouldn’t mean that customer service isn’t necessary.
Restaurant has only 6 window tables an in the evening rush hours there were 3 empty ones. We 4 had a reservation and we didn't get window table. Just after us there was 2 person whiteout reserve and they did get the 4 person window table. The food was just ok, one beef was rare fast we ask the well done. They only say that are sorry about it.
