Don't let the name of this restaurant fool you. The food they serve is far more than edible! It's downright delicious. From home made soups to yummy breaded and spicy chicken sandwiches, you'll be glad you chose Edible Matters. The prices are a little higher than your run of the mill restaurant, but then you don't get great food and excellent service for free!

And be sure to try the coffee after you eat. Not sure where it come from, but it is very good.

And you can get many things to take with you. Check out the refrigerators near the cash if you want to take some of the mmm mmm soup home with you!

All five of our meals were absolutely fresh and delicious...even the bread was baked in house! The service was excellent with our gracious waiters anticipating just what we needed. Washrooms were fully accessible and spotlessly clean.

I had a wonderful birthday brunch here with my daughter and husband yesterday. I had the back bacon benedict along with the pickled beet salad. Absolutely delicious. My daughter had the vegetarian benedict which she also adored and my husband had the fish cakes with beans which he also loved. To top it off they gave us carrot muffins with cream cheese with a candle in each. What a wonderful way to top off a delicious brunch. The owner himself came up to our table afterwards to ask how we liked the food. Highly highly recommend putting this on your list of places to eat! We will be back for dinner next time. Thank you!

My husband and I have driven by Edible Matters a number of times and thought we would give it a try. It was a little after 1.00 when we arrived, the restaurant was busy however we were the only ones waiting for a seat. Several customers passed by us to go directly to the bakery counter with their purchases and they were served right away by one of the staff. We saw several other staff members waiting on seated customers but no one even had the courtesy to acknowledge us. We stood there waiting to be seated for over 10 minutes, it became very obvious that customer service wasn't the restaurant's strong suit, huge red flag that it could possibly just get worse once we were seat so we left. It only takes 2 seconds to acknowledge someone and to make them feel welcomed. No matter how good the food, poor service is unacceptable. First impressions are the most important!!! Would not recommended.

Closed Mondays. Might want to avoid the bakery in the morning Tuesday. Supposed to be fresh but everything we purchased, cookies, tart, danish were all dry, dry, dry.

Pricey, we dropped close to $30 on bread and some pastries. In Vancouver this would be the norm, for area here, they have ego. Good for something to take a business meet but have a look at the menu online first, again Vancouver or Toronto oriented.

That being said, it is generally a busy spot, parking is interesting at times.
