First time for spouse and me to stay at a resort. Loved the inclusive mentality and no pressure to tip everytime somebody did something for us because with the helpfulness of this staff that is all we would have been doing!
We loved the layout of the resort and how open and convenient everything is. Biggest boon however is the staff---Nyah with our orientation did a wonderful job and made it a point to chat with us whenever we saw her. Roma at the fitness center was a great new friend as well. Francis the bartender made us a special drink that all the other bartenders made great efforts to duplicate....Still cannot get over how friendly and personable 98% of the staff was.
The rooms were clean and we loved the extra details of the towel creatures and flower petals on our bed.
Water activities were great and usually didn't have to wait long for a turn on anything.
Biggest downer was the long bus ride getting to resort after so many hours traveling via plane. Also it took us awhile to get used to slower food service in the restaurants. But really, we were on Carribbean time so we shouldn't expect fast food service!
Overall had a wonderful time at a beautiful location!

Room Tip: Great views on Carribbean side.

We stayedhere 13 nights from the 1st March, this was our second visit and won’t be our last.
We were lucky enough to have butler service and big thank you to Bailey, Wendell & Clynnes and all the rest of the wonderful staff at Sandals Grande they really do make this resort. I don't want to name names and miss anyone out but everyone from Gordon’s to all the breakfast staff at Toscanini’s, the fitness center and even the gardeners tending the beautiful grounds were cheerful, friendly and helpful. In fact this can be said for all of St Lucia.
We stayed in a 1 bedroom beachfront butler suite, our reserved lounger complete with ice cold bottles of beer in the cooler each day kept hubby happy and that alone is priceless. Private transfers, reservations at Gordon’s and use of a mobile phone to contact your butler are also included. The food and beverages across the resort are very good and there is something available morning, noon and night although in the evenings choices may be a little limited over a 2 week stay but you do get use of the other two resorts with free shuttles between them so plenty of options available.
We didn’t see much of the night entertainment, following a few drinks at the pool bar we’d have an early night to make the most of our days here but the bands playing on the lawn each evening were good and there was always plenty to do throughout the day. However we didn’t think the poolside entertainment was quite as lively or frequent as our previous visit.
The hotel is in a very good location near Rodney bay & Pigeon Island with lovely views and as said before beautiful grounds
The islands itself is amazing, you must get out and see it and there are plenty of ways by ground, see and air in which to do this, and there are lots of excursions, activities and shopping to be done. Over the two years we took the helicopter transfers, dune buggies and whale watching all of which we enjoyed.
The guests in the resort were also very friendly and we met some lovely people hello to anyone reading this report. Overall we had a fabulous holiday and my husband who is very difficult to please had just one complaint on his final day, and that was he was leaving.
We are looking forward to another day in paradise next year.
Please get in touch if you have any questions

As always, sandals has delivered an excellent vacation. The rooms, grounds, food and beaches are what you expect from sandals. The entertainment and night life was good (i recommend a taxi down to Gros Inlet for the street party). But is anything separates this Sandals from the others I have been is the incredibly friend St Lucian People. Everyone, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we so very friendly and helpful. The island is worth a visit for the people alone… sandals is just the cherry on top!

Room Tip: Beachview rooms are best… avoid ones with views on the atlantic

We travelled to the Sandals Gran St Lucian as part of our Honeymoon in May 2014. I wanted to wait a while before I wrote my review to see if my feeling towards the resort changed..... They have not!

We spent the first week in Barbados and had an amazing time, very peaceful, were made to feel like we were on our honeymoon and loved every second, therefore we were looking to going to Sandals, after it being reccomended to us.

We took at internal flight from Barbados-St Lucia which was faultless and would reccomend this for anyone wanting to do a dual centre. The transfer to the resort again, faultless. When we arrived at the resort we was very pleased, the hotel is sat on a beautiful pensiula and from the top of the hotel has a beautiful outlook, the premises is realyl beautiful. We were asked to sit in reception, our bags taken off us and told as we were Club guests someone would take us and would take us to the club lounge to be checked in, intial thoughts were very good. When we eventually got to the club lounge the welcome was VERY insincere and we had to wait for a hour to go on a tour around the resort for another hour in the clothes we had travelled in, you should not be MADE! to go on a tour as part of the club experience

So.....

Negatives.
- Paying extra for the club experience is not worth your money. The club staff are very welcoming to guests they want to be welcoming and nice to and only them! Not helpful, very rude, and VERY insencere - Not a nice experience!
- The entertainment both day & night is poor, and resembled a 70's english holiday camp
- There is constantly loud music, you do not mind music obviously this is part of the experince, but often heavy dance music, being played over the speakers which even by the quiet pool which you cannot escape, with the "Entertainment" team shouting though constantly - so no relaxing time! We asked at the club lounge if there was anyway it could be turned down to be told "Sit by a quieter pool if you dont like it!
- Drinks were often sweet, bad liquor and general not worth drinking!
- Very limited resturant choices in the evening, and food limited choice, and often not edible - especially in the "pub"!
- EVERYBODY is on honeymoon so if you want to go here feeling special, you will feel as far away as special as you can get!! None of the additional extras mentioned in the Sandals brochures and made to feel like more of an inconvience!

Postitives.
- The resort is very well laid out and is kept very clean by the resort staff. With the exception of the Club staff and Entertainment staff! We found the rest of the staff to be very friendly especially in the main buffet resturant and the Italian. And the pool waitresses
-The Buffet at breakfast and lunch has a wide choice for everyone, its shame this is not an additional option in the evening as well
-The crepe, pizza, and Italian are the best snack bars / resturants
- The beach area, although not huge, again is very clean with lovely white sand and blue waters with a beautiful outlook.
-The room was a nice size and in good condition, with the mini bar updated daily.
- You can escape the resort to the sister hotels, Le Toc was really nice and wish we had stayed there after speaking to a couple who seemed to be having a completley different and relaxing experience to what we were having

Improvements
We went to Sandals expecting to be blown away by the professional image that Sandals portray, relaxing, and luxury, and spent a lot of money expecting this, and it completely did not meet our expecations let alone exceed. This hotel appears to cater for 20 something Americans, felt more like spring break in Cancun than a luxury St Lucia resort. It dampended our honeymoon, and was just grateful we had our first week in Barbados. My parents have been going to Sandals for years, and said they have never experienced what we did, but based on this they will never return to a sandals and will chose other resorts, obvious to say we will never chose a sandals again and will excourage others not to, as what should have been the best holidays of our life was ruined at this resort.

St Lucia is beautiful, get out of the resort and explore as much of it as you can, the people (Outside of the resort) are friendly and warm, beautiful beaches, and beautiful scenery. I would reccomend anyone go to St Lucia,

Room Tip: We stayed in a oceanview room which did exactly that Beautiful view. But do not choose the club level it is not worth it!

This was a wonderful tropical retreat in the midst of a brutal winter at home! The resort was not overly crowded; beach chairs available without a concern. Beautiful property, amazing views, weather perfectly breezy and balmy. Plenty of fresh foods at the buffet, sparkling pools, delightful staff, and cold beer. What else can one ask?
