We took friends to the Saint Cochon last Sunday. We knew the menu in advance and the restaurant would have changed anything if given notice, but we were fine, and not disappointed. The meal price is €28 p.p. for 4 courses and (unlimited) wine, which is great value considering the quality of the food, service and welcome by Ruud and Pascale.
Ruud is the chef and is proud of his cuisine, using only fresh ingredients. Pascale is front of house and very attentive. We had the filet de boeuf and it was superb, as was the starter, billed as cassoulet de fruits de mer, so we were not sure what to expect, and it was absolutely lovely. Then followed a cheese course and finally a trio of desserts with lovely flavours.
It is not a busy restaurant, as they do not advertise other than by word of mouth, but it is a little gem of a place. Always necessary to book, though.
I have given this review 5 stars as the combination of quality, service, hospitality and price is unbeatable.
