PROS:
**The room rate was reasonable for its exclusivity. We got the Beach Front Ocean Villa at a fair rate.
**The surroundings look clean. They have a clean pool too.

CONS:

**It’s the only hotel that I have stayed that doesn’t have a manager or supervisor available to assist their customer’s needs. We were informed by the resort staff that the manager is away for a vacation. However, when we asked a local resident of the place, it was mentioned that the manager is actually there in the resort. He/She just don’t want to face hotel guests at all.
**Service staff was not properly trained. We felt unwelcomed when we got there. They couldn’t even understand simple instructions. When we went to Siargao for a honeymoon, someone paid the transportation service for us from and to the airport (600php per way). But when we arrived at the hotel, the van driver kept on asking us for the payment because nothing was relayed to him about the free trip. I thought we wont be experiencing the same thing anymore but it happened again when we took the van from the hotel to the airport. We paid cash to the driver instead because we wanted to spare the embarrassment.
**Food was never great at the hotel. The hotel offered us with free breakfast everyday. It was the worst hotel breakfast we ever had. They serve low class hotdogs and a very small serving of rice, egg and/or dried fish. Coffee is not brewed too. We only had dinner once in the hotel. We ordered pork sinigang and shrimp but those didn’t taste good at all. It was really unsatisfying. Worse, the prices were so high. It was never a “value for money” experience. Thus we have to look for another hotel or resto everytime we needed to eat. Mind you though, that there were a lot of resorts and resto that actually serves better food and cheaper rates compared to the hotel.
**The place is great for team buildings but the pool specifically is not child-friendly. It doesn’t have shallow parts.
**Our room shower wasn’t working properly. I asked the hotel personnel if there is something that they can do about it but it felt like that the solution is not possible to be resolved right away.
**The beach area of the resort is not good too. Its rocky, muddy and looks dirty. Whenever my wife and I would want to go out for a swim, we needed to go to somewhere else instead. The beach in the port area is way better and cleaner than of the hotel’s.

I actually emailed my concern on our first night and the owner offered us a full refund. We declined because it didn’t sound okay for us to look and transfer to a different hotel. Both of us are new to the place and we didn’t know where to go to next. This is why we booked the place early because we wanted to have a hassle-free experience. And besides we wanted to give the resort a chance. But it didn’t really meet our expectations.

Over all, our honeymoon getaway in Siargao wasn’t really that good. Generally, food (the most important thing for us in a vacation) in restaurants and hotels is expensive. The motorcycle fare is expensive too (20 pesos per head/way). The hotel arranged a tour to Magpupungko for us through a “habal-habal” for 1500 php. It was expensive and at the same time, dangerous. But we shouldn’t really care on how much we spend for a vacation trip if we only we had a great experience.

We went there last October to celebrate my mom's birthday. We really had a great time together with my family since this is the first time we celebrated her birthday out of the country. She wanted a place where she can relax and enjoy. The staff were very accomodating and polite. The rooms were clean and the scenery is so relaxing. We really had a great vacation and it's so worth it staying at this resort. Thank you Palm Paradise for the wonderful experience!

I've been this place a week ago, stayed there for a week. I can tell that this resort have a good scenery of the beach right just in front, green lawn, a pool with lagoon shape. The room is clean; the staffs were accommodating and ready to help if it’s needed. The resto foods taste good. Internet is a bit slow but the rest is great! Indeed, Island Dream Palm Paradise Resort is a lovely place to stay. Try to go there for you to experience the serenity of the place :-)

We were there last July 2016 and we had a great time in this place. The cabana we stayed was near the sea and the rooms were more than enough for us. The rooms were airconditioned, sometimes there were presence of ants esp. if the guests had some fruits or food left overs. The People working here were courteous, friendly and nice. The place is at the middle - near General Luna (about 30 minutes walk) and Cloud 9 (about 20 minutes walk). But there is no problem in going to General luna or Cloud 9 since the resort is along the road, but it is quiet during night time. The breakfasts which were included in our package stay were sufficient for us- my Family love the mango fruit and fruit juice. We ate lunch and dinner in some days that we were there and they tasted good, though some dish in the menu were not available when we were there. I bought some fresh fish from General Luna and asked one of the staff to cook in a traditional way ( sinabaw With malunggay and paksiw). To my delight, he did it for a small fee. The only negative with this resort is there is no shoreline, rather the sea is full of corals and seagrass. However, my little girl enjoyed picking some washed seashells during lowtide. The resort has no own transport service to and from the airport, but they contacted a good person who fetched us from the airport, and he even toured us to general luna before he transferred us to the resort. We availed the resort's contact for island hopping, and we were not dissappointed. I highly recommend this resort.

Room Tip: choose the cabana near the sea

A relatively 2.5 star to 3 star hotel as such (on Aussie standards). But everything you need, they have, and if they don't, they will get it for you. This place is true hospitality. A great easy place, central to Cloud Nine (ten minute walk, or 2 minute bike ride) and added bonus, is it's on the water. You sit in the pool and look straight out at the ocean. It's a great spot. The small quaintness of this place, adds to it's charm. Both times we travelled to come stay here, the 6 or 7 rooms were virtually empty, which left us with the pool to ourselves (pure bliss) and the attention of the staff all on us (quite nice when they are all over the cocktail top ups before you even ask). Loved it.

Room Tip: the honeymoon suite. It's only $100 AUD (the most expensive room) but it's the only detached room looking straight out to the water
