Well worth a detour to visit this small but very well-presented museum. Exhibitions when we were there described the careers of locally-born world's strongest man and of an opera singer. As well as the usual local exhibits there was an interesting exhibition about a successful collective farm and those who worked on it as well as a number of family histories detailing the fates of deportees to Siberia in 1941. We were the only visitors (it was out of season) and the attendant was very helpful and detailed in his explanations.
