We stayed for a night. You can tell that this hotel has its years...Rooms and bathrooms are dated but clean. The Santa Lucía little typical town and nature is the best of the hotel. Drinks after dinner at “La Cantina” was fun! The buffet is not impressive but acceptable.
For me the negative is that we were offered a tour on the hanging bridges. There was a miscommunication since one of the bridges was out of service (damaged by a fallen tree!) and the driver took us to that area and locked us there (since it is only open to Villa Lapas tours) (Before entering you are warned to be careful and watch your step since there might be poisonous velvet snakes!) No one from the hotel nor a tour guide was there...and we were the only ones out there so I thought this was extremely unsafe! We had to go back and find a way to get out! We tried to call the front desk to see if someone could pick us up, but no one answered in that front desk! We had to walk around three kilometers to get to the hotel since there was no way to communicate with them.
I do not recommend this tour to anyone unless you go with a tour guide! The hotel should think more on the safety of the guests... More
