What an amazing place in a stunning location! We stayed one night and had a very friendly welcome from Tracy & Ian. The location is excellent with views over the fields and plenty of wildlife. The breakfast was absolutely lovely. We very much hope to be able to visit again in the future.
We had the good fortune of selecting the Shepherds Hut in Hetton Law for our accommodation.
We had a great welcoming from both Tracy and Ian which was much appreciated. The Hut was spotless, very comfortable, contained a heap of interesting knick knacks, and had an extremely comfortable bed. We slept very well. The views are very grand, and there is the added plus of them being able to be seen from the bed.
Breakfast was a stunner with freshly made pancakes and huge muffins, croissants, cereals, fruits, juices, etc., and served in the 'breakfast room' also offering the grand views.
This gem is well worth staying at.
A very unique 'apartment' with every essential, close to all local attractions and a very special breakfast room from which to enjoy freshly made Muffins and Pancakes, supported by Croissants, cereals and fruit juice.
Both the accommodation and breakfast room have wood burning stoves, which are great if the weather cools.
The hosts Tracy and Ian delivered a great experience and the opportunity to watch Hares, Pheasants and Chickens from the comfort of your bed was an added bonus.
Will definitely return.
Our visit to the Shepherds Hut cannot not be bettered. The accommodation is superb, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, with lovely touches provided by the owners.
There are no words adequate to describe the tranquility of the location, the stunning views, and the service and welcome provided by the owners.
Our breakfasts were superb, freshly baked every day, served warm straight from the oven.
This was a very special experience for our wedding anniversary that we will remember for many years
This was our second visit to the Shepherd's Hut and we were delighted to find that all the things we had loved first time round were still there! Fabulous views; cosy wood burner; comfortable bed; peace and quiet (including wonderfully no phone signal or internet in the hut!) and scrumptious breakfasts!! A delightful two night stay just wasn't long enough!
