Excellent B&B in a beautiful village. We only spent one night there, but Bob & Irene bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was terrific, and the proximity to local sights such as Bamberg Castle & the Holy Island can't be beat. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for 1 night in June, and it was wonderful! We were greeted on arrival with fresh scones and a nice cup of tea! The room was lovely, very clean and had great ameneties! Breakfast was great, such a high quality for the price and lots of choice!

Would definitely recommend this B&B and look forward to possible future stays!

A real home from home. Bob and Irene go out of their way to make you feel completely comfortable. The welcoming tea with scone, jam and cream was lovely. Lowick is well placed to explore the Northumberland coast (A1 is 4 miles away). There are two very good pubs in the village, both serving good evening meals. Bob and Irene will book this for you. There is also a small village shop two doors up the road. The rooms are immaculate with all amenities. There are five choices for breakfast, full English, vegetarian English, Continental, Smoked Salmon and scrambled eggs and/or an extensive range of cereals and fruit. Bob will provide an unlimited supply of toast. Sometimes I read the reviews on TA and think "It can't be that good" but in the case of Primrose Cottage, it truly is.

Room Tip: All rooms are good, maybe the attic would not be suitable for over six footers!

Second time here, and will be back. A great stay in every single respect. Very welcoming hosts, tea and scones on arrival, and an excellent breakfast. Rooms and bathrooms immaculately clean and well-appointed.

We stayed here for two nights whilst completing the St. Cuthberts Way walk and it was absolutely brilliant. Irene and Bob are superb hosts who really look after you and are prepared to go that extra mile for you - from booking tables in the pub, arranging taxis, lifts and having delicious scones ready for you upon arrival. You feel more part of being in someone's beautiful home than being in a B&B. Primrose cottage takes some beating! Miss it and you'll be missing out! Thanks again, Fiona, Jane & Chris.
