This is a picturesque traditional Finnish wooden church dating from 1752. The church and the surrounding cemetery are situated on an island in the middle of Lake Köyliö (Köyliönjärvi). The drive to the church is pleasant through the birch-tree lined Kirkkosaarentie. In June 2015 the church was undergoing a major renovation and was mostly covered is scaffoldings. A brief visit for anyone driving nearby is worthwhile.
