The Prince Patrick is on the Collingwood side of Victoria Parade. I think the tattered exterior makes some sort of artistic statement, but there is only one thing I care about: is the beer good? And I have to say yes. The food is also good pub food, with a touch of imagination. By the way, the pub is closed on Sunday.

Del and Daz have just reopened the Prince Patrick and it is a breath of fresh air. A group of about 20 of us all turned up for St Pat's day. The Guiness flowed in pints $12, and the Carlton was icy cold clean and cheap at $4.50 a pot. The bar snacks are excellent value. Timmy did a great job.

The old prince has been cleaned up, and is now bright and airy. The courtyard is a delight on a warm day, and will be very popular on cold nights with the fire going. The pool table has gone, and allows more space and a dedicated dining area.

A number of families with kids were there as well as a good number of local tradies, so it caters for all sorts.

This is a whole new Prince, and a delight. Give it a try.
