Owner description: An ancient Greek theater built in the third century.

Amazing feeling. So silent, yet full of energy from all the tragedies presented here over thousands of years. It makes you wanna put your life at the center of the stage. Tragedy or comedy, just enjoy! If scheduling to visit in July, get a ticket to watch a tragedy... unforgettable experience!

It was a great place to visit for me. I fully enjoyed experiencing the theatre and the amazing acoustics. You can talk in a normal volume from almost anywhere in the theatre and can be heard from almost anywhere else in the open air theatre.

Go early in the morning to avoid the tour buses. It was just our family of 4 with probably another 2 couples there in the morning; so it was nice and quiet. Later we saw a couple of tour buses arriving. If there's too many people, it might get too noisy in the theatre.

I visited the place in June 2017. The theatre was great, unfortunately I got robbed there. It seems our car was noticed immediately when we parked. Somebody followed us during the visit and was in contact with other criminals who broke the car lock and went through my luggage. All valuable was stolen, even the well hidden cash. It seems they had a lot of time and nowhere to hurry. Unfortunately the insurance covered only the car damage and nothing else. Maybe you can be wiser when visiting

Nice stop on a day tour from Athens together with Mycenae. You don't need a lot of time. For me about 1 hour is fine. Just impressive to take in what construction skills people had nearly 3000 years ago.
