We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in September ‘17.
Thank you Claudio (owner) for picking us up on arrival & taking us on departure to the train station. The hotel is located in the old hill top town, with many restaurants & a handy supermarket. Our room overlooking the courtyard was quiet & comfortable.
Tea/coffee facilities in our room would be appreciated, as not complimentary in the hotel. Breakfast was simple but adequate. The roof top terrace, with a beautiful view, was enjoyable for our supermarket bought lunch, with a glass of wine.
The bus to Lake Bolsena only operates in summer, so with the help of the tourist centre, we were able to use a walking trail to the lake. (At least medium level of fitness is needed).
A suggested day trip by bus to Viterbo was great. The new town has a modern shopping complex & the old town with many small shops was interesting.
The travel agency near the hotel were very helpful in booking our onward journey by bus & train to Tuscany.
We would recommend this hotel, run by a friendly & helpful family.

We stayed one night on a walking tour. The hotel is right on the Via Francigena so very convenient. Our basis was B&B. Our room was large with a small bathroom with shower.
Everything comfortable and fine for a night's stay. Tea and coffee are rather average (it might be the coffee beans used) and the breakfast is a little simplistic but OK. We would stay there again and there is a very convenient supermarket opposite for walking food supplies.

This hotel deserves an Excellent rating mostly because of the super friendly and very helpful owners. We were picked up at the local train station upon our arrival, and delivered to the train station in nearby Viterbo on our departure - fantastic service.
Our room was a reasonable size and the bathroom rather large, with basic amenities. Furnishings are on the old side, but in keeping with the age/era of the hotel. The air con was working and we were able to enjoy a good rest after a lot of walking each day in the hot August sun.
The hotel is very central. It is situated on the main shopping street and there are several bars and restaurants very close by. We chose an internal room overlooking a small courtyard which was very quiet. There is also a lovely rooftop terrace.
Breakfasts were very good, including beautiful home-made cakes as well as the usual fare - toasts, croissants, cold meats and cheeses, cereals, fruit, etc.
We enjoyed our four nights here and would definitely stay again.

Montefiascone is a charming small town on the top of a hill. Hotel Urbano V was well located near the center of town. We could park our car by the hotel and then walked easily everywhere. Our room had a little balcony, a very comfortable bed and very adequate bathroom in such an old building. The breakfast was plentiful in choices. All recommended restaurants gave wonderful meals, particularly one with a spectacular view of the Bolsano Lake. The setting sun was a glowing ball sinking into the lake!

We've been staying at the Urbano V for a week or two every summer for the past seven years. It's a lovely old house in the heart of the old city that was tastefully turned into a family-run hotel. There are many old features and lots of modern conveniences--AC, showers, etc. It's not fancy but it's good, and the breakfasts are delicious, especially the home-made cakes and crostatas. The staff is sincerely friendly.

Room Tip: Go for a room facing the courtyard if you want quiet, although the street isn't very noisy except during the wine festival.
