This lake is beautiful, quiet, and serene. You get to enjoy nature at its best. One of the best experiences while visiting this lake is its boating and swimming activities. You can use their floating cottages. They also have a view deck where you can see the view of the lake. By the way, the lake is shaped like a guitar or violin, and it is very, very deep.

The lake captured me. It has a spirit of stilless. A tranquil moment for a tired soul is awaited. Getting there could be a sacrifice as public transportation is very limited. One has to rent a habal habal or motorcycle to get there. Once you are at the lake be amaze by the view. There are boats for rent for you to use which is a must do.

this lake is way up the mountains of ormoc, but is only an hour's drive away from the city. better use a good truck to reach it without problems. views along the way are breathtaking. rent a cottage that floats out to the lake. the water is cool and nice for swimming but don't drink it! overall, a nice, quiet and pleasant place to visit, where you can see locals go about their daily life.

Lake Danao is a fun place to visit, getting there via public transport prevents it's challenges but if the afternoon jeepney doesn't show up (as mine didn't) then you can always walk to the next village and a friendly chap will help you on your way back to Ormoc on his bike. The lake itself is nice and the novelty of the floating cabins is fun for a while.

The waters were absolutely clean and cool, and it is relaxing to row out to the middle on a balsa or a kayak. The place is beautiful and calm, refreshingly far from the warm seaside cities and towns of the island. The drive going there is filled with cool, crisp mountain air with a hint of pine, the road lined with hamlets, meadows, and monasteries. We even saw cold weather blooms like hydrangeas along the way!

Liked how the floating huts had cooking areas, but I wonder if it poses a fire risk. Nonetheless glad it's not super developed since that would have ruined it, but I hope the provincial government does pay a little more attention to it and at least puts in basic facilities like bathrooms and shower stalls.
