“Food was ok but service was a bit lousy”

Ordered the following:
Tuna Kimbap - there was no tuna. It was more like ham kimbap.
Ramyeon - well there wasn't much you could expect about ramyeon. It is what it is. But don't get me wrong, the sole purpose I came in this resto was to eat ramyeon bec. it was raining hard in Ormoc and I didn't want to eat in my hotel room alone.
Rasberry juice - the ice water over powered the juice. So there was barely a trace of Rasberry flavor at all.
Side dishes were very minimal. Well I guess I can't expect much from a place as as simple as this.
They could've done better with their service though but the staff were all hiding at the back, in their kitchen. A customer had to stand up twice just to call them. A customer will be able to leave after eating without them noticing. Hmmmm

We went there twice, out of curiosity at 1st and mother's day. They surprised us with 2 bouquet of flowers for my mother & me. i keep coming back coz i just love their spicy bibimbap & cheesy tteokbokki. If you want to order tteokbokki just tell it directly to the waitress coz i did not find it on their menu. Then voila! cravings satisfied.

Seoul Jeong is on Bonifacio St. in the Alice Mar Bldg (also called Catingub Bldg on Google Maps) on the block north of Western Leyte College.

We had the Bulgogi noodle soup, and the spicy seafood noodle soup. The food comes with spicy cucumber and radish pickles, and kimchi (spicy cabbage). They have two types of Soju (strong Korean drink). We ate in the air-conditioned room that seats 20 people. They also have plenty of outdoor seating in the back. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a bed-spacer boarding house upstairs. Seoul Jeong is owned and operated by a Korean man and his Filipina wife, who was very nice and made sure everything was ok with our food. The music, and then the TV, were too loud, but they obliged and turned down the volume--thank you!. NOTE: this place is NOT in the Alice Mar building that says J.C. on the top, it is in the Alice Mar building on the next block north and on the same side of Bonifacio Street. An easy way to find it to ask your driver to take you to Western Leyte College and look for the sign in Korean on the next block north. Also, the map on this facebook page shows Seoul Jeong across from Pongos Hotel--it is NOT there, it is two blocks north.

I'm not well versed when it comes to Korean food but based on what my family ordered in this place, it was a delightfully delectable experience. Guaranteed authentic Korean dishes at its finest. The only problem I have with the establishment is the small place they have. Trust me, it's not for the claustrophobic. Other than that, the food is good.
