A slightly mixed bag for me....and it will depend on what is important to you. Great location. Definitely ski in and out if the snow is good. Lockable individual ski locker with boot warmers so you can really leave all your gear downstairs hats gloves etc. Only 45 mins drive from Salzburg. All rooms have a mountain view with a balcony. Rooms are perfect temperature and very well sound proofed. Beds are comfy, pillows are rubbish! You can get a really good glass of wine for 4 Euro. Nice big relaxed comfy seating area in the lobby where people sit and drink and play games in the evening. Amazing breakfast.....everything you could want and more. Dinner as I have found before in Austrian hotels is lovely soup and salad followed by variable starter and average main course then a decent desert with really good cheese board. Service at dinner very prompt and organised but served in..massive big conference room style dining room which is completely soulless. The spa and pool is clean and quiet and calm and there is a nice little fitness room with 2 treadmills an old cross trainer, 2 yoga mats and a weight machine looking out over the slopes. Some of the staff speak good English, some not but it didn't cause a problem. You can buy your ski pass at reception and there is a good choice of bars within walking distance. Wifi is a bit patchy and slow. By far and away the best part of this place is the skiing....we like blue runs and there are loads of really beautiful long blue runs some more greenish and some more red-ish. The piste map is brilliant with planned ski routes taking you off all of the ski circus all day without getting lost. And the lifts are fantastic....mostly big heated chair lifts with covers and automatic opening.....really comfortable and a fab fab range of restaurants and bars and huts
.....all brilliantly priced. We sat in the most beautiful wooden bar mama threils....plenty of staff, cool music, beautiful views, 5 glasses of prosecco and a really good chicken dinner for 30 euro!!!! Why would anyone go to overpriced France???? So really maybe I am being picky but the restaurant did put me off and I will look elsewhere next year but would definitely go back to fiebebruhn for the fab intermediate skiing and the really excellent value for money.

I have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel via crystal ski and this hotel really deserves a detailed review as its in a brilliant location, with great facilities and fantastic value for money.

Location:
The hotel is right on the slope near the foot of the doisberg gondola, it's more ski in than ski out as you have to walk about 40m to the slope but can ski right back to the hotel door.
Fieberbrunn is now part of the ski circus and linked to saalbach/hinterglemm/leogang ski area via a new cable car, the Tirol S, however this was shut due to high winds few times during our stay so you can easily get the free ski bus from the gondola station 10 minutes down the road to leogang to access the larger ski area. St johann ski area is also 10 mins via the free ski bus from the gondola station and you can easily get to kitzbuhel from St johanns train station (bus drops you right there) train takes 10mins and stops at the main kitzbuhel gondola station for €5 return trip.
Fieberbrunn town centre doesn't have a lot there a few shops and restaurants and is a good 20 min walk from the hotel, so if you're looking for a lively resort this isn't for you!

Hotel:
The hotel is very modern and has the 'conference' feel about it but is very nice for the price, however I was surprised by the lack of English spoken by all the staff, reception and restaurant, i wasn't expecting a full blown conversation but even getting an answer to a simple question was challenging but not the end of the world.
I did email then beforehand to request a birthday cake in the room which was handled fine and they also gave us a printed scroll at breakfast saying happy birthday which was a nice touch.

Food:
The food was excellent, we stayed half board throughout our stay. Breakfast was super, lots of hot and cold options, pre-made smoothies lots of choice. Dinner was lovely also, up to 5 courses if you wanted; soup and salad from the buffet, Al la carte starter, a choice of 3 al la carte mains and a al la carte dessert. You chose your main course only as the starter and dessert were pre-set, all meals were very nice and presented wonderfully considering they would feed larger numbers at one time. You had the choice of eating at either 6pm or 8pm each night and were given the same table throughout your stay.
Drinks were reasonably priced, we had a large beer, large wine and table water each evening which would cost about €11.
The bar area in between reception and the restaurant was large and had lots of comfy seats with a view of the slopes, there isn't any entertainment in the evenings, just people sittings round taking and playing cards so very relaxed atmosphere.

Room:
Was hot, we had the balcony door ajar every night! But the room was very nice, Austrian style beds, sofa bed with table in the corner, balcony overlooking the front of the hotel and the mountains behind which was pretty. Reasonable sized bathroom, with a brilliant heated towel rail, bathrobes and separate toilet, lots of wardrobe space, mini bar and free safe. The only thing missing for me was tea and coffee making facilities.

Facilities:
The spa area was on the first floor and accessed via your room key card and it was vast, huge reception (which I never saw anyone on) small outdoor balcony chill out area, massage room, solarium room, (both extra charge, although the back massage was only €36 and very good), gym room with a few treadmills and yoga mats. At the end of the reception area was one door which lead to the pool area and other to the sauna area.
The pool was lovely, it overlooked the slope, had lots of sun beds available, however was a tad chilly on a few days when they had emptied it to change the water so I was told. I was disappointed not to have a jacuzzi but the pool did have 6 jets, a foot one and 5 back and leg jets at the far end all started up by buttons in the pool.
The sauna area had 4 in total; steam room, steam sauna, Finnish sauna and infrared sauna then a huge relaxation room which sun beds, a couple of jet showers and access to an outside terrace. It was true Austrian attire in the sauna area but as long as you had a towel they didn't seem to mind us Brits keeping our costumes on!

All in all we had a wonderfully relaxing time at this hotel, it's location and service were brilliant and I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to be in a quiet location on the slopes with some nice spa facilities.

Stayed here when it first opened 4 years ago so thought we knew what we were getting.

The hotel has really gone down market since however. Rooms are ok, staff relatively helpful ( although don't bother asking for a slightly later checkout, they're not interested).

Evening meals are appalling with the only edible food more than likely to show up on the kids menu. Very random menu choices for adults. We ended up eating out twice as a result. You also need to make your mind up as to when you want to eat for the week, either 6pm or 8pm, they have no flexibility on this. Restaurant manager is officious but quite abrupt and unhelpful.

Sauna / steam room only turned on later in the day so bad luck if you want to use it prior to the crowds arriving and pool facilities are ok but full of kids for the whole late afternoon so you can't swim post skiing.

Wifi is possibly the slowest on record.

Would really classify it as a down market package holiday hotel. Plenty of other options around so my advice would be to look elsewhere.

Dear Howey,
thank you very much for your assessment.

The criticisms regarding staff and food, we have passed to our colleagues in the respective departments, they will take consider of this and implement as soon as possible.
In the winter season, the sauna is turned on at 1.30 pm.

Kind regards from snowy Fieberbrunn

External photos are not flattering although this is a modern hotel and attractively fitted out internally. We were staying with 2 other families for skiing and found the location very convenient- ski in and out. The food was good - the breakfasts in particular where there was a vast buffet of traditional hot and cold offerings with something for everyone. The hotel bar was large and comfortable, good for large groups or just couples with plenty of seating. The service was particularly good with very friendly and attentive staff who made us welcome. The rooms were modern and clean and very comfortable particularly the bathrooms which were immaculate. Pool etc and typical Austrian etiquette saunas!
A definite recommendation.

Great location, friendly stuff, tasty food.
But slowest WIFI I had ever seen. Only 0.02 mbps upload. Nice room with view on parking place. Spa was good, but too many children in the pool makeing increadible noise all over the spa area.
