We stayed here 4 nights in August and were very pleased with the experience.

ROOM - For the price, we thought it was quite a bargain. The room was kept immaculately clean and I liked the cement floors (great for wet ski gear, muddy hiking shoes, etc.) and if we had brought our dog, it wouldn't have been an issue (no urine stains or difficult messes to clean up!). They do take pets.
One interesting thing to keep in mind if you're not used to it... Our room had a shower that faced the bed, which would have been fine had the door not been clear glass! As a married couple it wasn't an issue, but if you're traveling in groups and don't want to see your friends in the nude as they shower, you might request a room with a shower in another location (all the rooms are laid out differently).

BREAKFAST - I loved the quick and easy access to the restaurant. The breakfast choices were awesome (from eggs, to sweets to cereal and healthy choices). The breakfast buffet was included in the price, which was why we found it to be such a great deal.

Restaurant seems to be pretty popular in the evening hours (you won't hear the noise in your room, though). A mixture of cuisine. Tasty and staff was always friendly and attentive.

Located close to the Amade Therme and great as a "base camp" if you want to do some day hiking excursions like we did!

Room Tip: Make sure you check the shower location in advance. Clear shower door means everyone in the room can see you showering!we had room 102.

Says it all really as we've come back a year later!

This hotel has a great combo in that the restaurant/bar is separate so no noise or hassle and as its open to the public they have to perform well.

Rooms are all well maintained, clean and stocked with what you'd need. No mini bar though!

Only thing the place lacks is a spa.

Stayed here for the half-term (family of 4) for a ski trip. The hotel is very new (late 2014 I think) and it's clear to see: from the moment you walk into reception it's clear that this is a well run and maintained hotel. The facilities are modern and spotless and the staff are all very friendly and keen to help, with good spoken English.

The rooms themselves are similarly spotless. We had a family room which comprised a large double (separate mattresses pushed together on a single base) and a separate room off the main which had a bunk bed, with the bottom bunk being nearly a double-sized width. All beds were extremely comfortable. The overall room size was adequate. There was some nice touches: the shower enclosure was large and the shower itself, powerful. Also, we were given new towels each day and the room was returned to pristine upon our return from skiing each day (and I mean, faultless). Entertainment was via free wifi (2.5MB/Sec speed) so video streaming could be a problem, but for browsing the web and Spotify etc it was absolutely fine and did not require personal details or passwords etc like some hotels require.

Adjoined to the hotel is the Paularei restaurant and this deserves a special mention. It's large and well appointed and during our stay was near 100% full each night, requiring us to pre-book a table each day. This was no trouble and I think reflects the great atmosphere and food there. The waiting staff were all polite, efficient and spoke good English. My daughter cannot eat Gluten (Wheat etc) and they were able to advise on what she could eat. To be safe, we brought some pizza bases from the UK and the head chef happily used those to make her a pizza each night. He did offer to make something else for some variety but she enjoyed the pizzas so stuck with those. The menu choice for others in our family was really good and the food always well prepared and delivered without much delay given how busy they all were. For 4 people with a round or two of drinks we typically paid 50 Euros which I thought was good value.

Breakfast (buffet) was also served there and included with our stay. As with dinner, it was very good quality.

So, in all, the hotel and adjoining restaurant really were first class throughout. I travel a lot with work across Europe and am fairly 'picky' at where I stay, but honestly, I have to say this is a superb hotel and one which I would thoroughly recommend.

We've just come back from a stay at the Hotel Matteo in Flacchau. It was our first time to the resort, and (therefore!) hotel! What a fabulous establishment. It's been done to a simple but stylish modern finish. Rooms are well equipped, and the best hotel beds ever! The staff could not have been more helpful. Great skikeller with dryers for skis and boots. The onsite restaurant was exceptional. A short menu but everything on it (that we tried at least) was first rate. Fresh and delicious! Already planning our return in February!

Stayed here for three nights with a group of friends who arrived after me from the UK. In contrast to where I'd stayed before this place is not traditional Austrian style, but it's modern city style inside - very well done.

The rooms are really nice, but are open plan - walk-in shower opens to the bedroom, basin is in the room, but toilet is enclosed - so bear that in mind if you share with a friend as some might find it awkward.

Great restaurant and bar (we ended up eating there each night it was so good), however you can't put bills on your room so you pay as you go. Mind you, that does prevent a big shock at the end of a trip!
