The pictures of the hotel in the brocher are never quite like your real life experience, is it? Well, that’s not the case with Hotel Bergzeit. You will absolutely soak up that cozy feeling from the pictures the minute you walk in that reception.

We took a skiing trip in February 2014. Our main preferences are therefore good access to slopes and ski facilities in the hotel. Even though Hotel Bergzeit is not ski inn/ski out hotel, it offers a ski shuttle service for a very reasonable price. Very efficient service and the driver knew everything about different ski areas around Flachau. The “boot room” and the possibility to dry your wet clothes in your room, met our demands. Bergzeit has an excellent spa area which is essential on ski trips; quite spacy and trendy. Nothing beats the feeling of warm sauna after a long and demanding day on the slopes. The breakfast and dining hall is warm and original. The food was most of the time excellent, but as happens, not always. The Wi-Fi is good and steady. Staff very friendly and you could sense that they really cared. Like many hotels like Bergzeit, it is owned and operated by a family were every member plays a part in the business.

In all, an unforgettable trip, and Hotel Bergzeit played a big part.

I've been ski-ing for over forty years and this hotel served the best food I've ever had on a ski holiday, including a celebratory seven course meal on Christmas Eve. The rooms were warm, spacious and well laid out. There's a lovely sauna with plenty of relaxation space around it and a small but warm outdoor swimming pool. The hotel is a five minute walk to the ski bus stops. The ski-ing is all blue and red slopes, so limited for experienced skiers plus we didn't have a lot of snow, but you can ski a wide area of different bases on the same pass. It was a lovely break and I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel staff was mixing room types but after that everything was running well. Please note that the smallest room is very small and I really recommend you to take the next size. Spa area and outdoor swimming pool are great. Sauna is large, comfortable "Finnish type" sauna and excellent relaxation after an intensive ski day.

Dinner and breakfast are fine also. Wines are reasonable priced. Bergzeit is a family run hotel and you can see it as a very good and caring service.

Hotel has an excellent shuttle bus service to the main ski lifts so you don´t need own car. There is also a large storage and drying room for skis and shoes. You have walking distance to the Flachaus bars and restaurants.

I recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Smallest room is small so pay little bit extra in order to get the next size.

Excellent hotel, good clean rooms with a large terras. The staff is nice and friendly, the food is delicious, in the morning as well as in the evening.
There is free internet, but no wifi in the rooms, only LAN connection.
