I was in this hotel for a week, and it was nice and clean. The Mall "Freeport" is just on the other side of the street, so if you want to buy clothes from Nike, Hilfiger, Hugo Boss Rossignol and other famous brands this is the place.

The Savannah is in the middle of a place built exclusively for Austrian tourists coming across the nearby border (shopping malls, kids amusement park, casinos).

There is ample outdoor parking – I paid for indoor parking which is a mistake – it is small and cramped. Unless the weather is truly terrible, much better to park outside.

The receptionists spoke English, some better, some worse (the second language here is German). Staff’s level of English varied from almost nothing to fairly fluent.

My room was reasonably sized, but seemed cramped – two armchairs and a coffee table took up some space. Storage space was OK – wardrobe with hanging space and some shelves – could do with some drawers. Also had a safe deposit box. Bed was comfortable, but had a blanket (in a cotton cover) only - really need a single sheet as well for the warm summer.

Bathroom was nice – spacious, shower/tub. There was a minibar fridge in the room, although it was quite full of drinks for purchase.

Medium-sized LCD TV had one English channel (BBC World), and all inputs. Wifi was slow-ish (clocked 5mbps/1mbps up/down) but worked fine.

The room had a/c, although I never quite managed out how to set it – no temperature controls just a dial varying from “+” to “-“….

Breakfast is included: there’s a breakfast buffet which is reasonable – the same fare every day, OK but could be much, much better with more variety and some effort.

The hotel also has a decent “wellness center”. It has a fairly large swimming pool, a small wet and dry sauna, a jacuzzi and a small fitness center. There’s also a Sri Lankan spa that offers treatments (didn’t partake).

Tip: the adjoining casino has an OK-ish dinner buffet beginning 6 pm.. If you feel like it, you can go in and have dinner every night. No obligation to play...

Room was clean and decently sized. The restaurant dinner was fresh and came in large servings. Breakfast buffet was well stocked. The hotel is conveniently located near bike paths, stores, and rides for children. A good place to stay for any type of visit

Hotel is built in that trumpery las vegas style, which I dont like, but ok. Room we had upgraded - executive one - this was spacy enough, with big bathroom with shower along bathtube.
The food was average, first night we had a very bad impression - food was in buffet style, and when we arrived at 7 pm the buffet was not replenished, and there was no stuff to order drinks. Fortunately other evening this was ok.
Plus:
- the children corner - with animators who care almost whole day of kids - a big plus :)
- new and big outside playground
- ayurveda doctor and procedures
Minus:
- casino next to restaurant - nonstop annoying casino music and sounds
- cold water in kids pool
- service during dinner
- location in the middle of nowhere next to outlet and china cheap stuff market

Dear Katarina. I appreciate you taking time to share your experience with us. We are constanly working on service improvement and will do more still. I have checked the kids pool temperature which is at constat 28 Degrees Celsius, perhaps we can work on higher temperature settings during our fall pool maintenace. Thank you for the suggestion. We hope to see you back in the future.

The hotel itself is great. It does have nice rooms, black jack, roulette and slot machines in the casino, spas and saunas with large 25 m swimming-pool. Restaurant is not bad, the quality of food in offer has some space for improvement. After spending few hours in the surrounding market and attractions for the kids, one is grateful for the little rest in the relaxing atmosphere of the Savannah Hotel

Room Tip: If you are booking two rooms, ask for them to be connected. By doing that your accommodation becomes an apartment.
