The apartment was lovely. We had a lovely holiday in Italy, it was our first trip and we found the people extremely friendly and welcoming. Every day we were greeted by the resident Yorkshire Terriers as we walked down to our car.... (a very steep hill!)
The apartment was wonderful. Furnished to what we call 'English standard', the bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in! Everything is there for a restful holiday. unfortunately we did have to make use of the golfing umbrella on more than one occasion, but that was very handy to have.
There is a local supermarket for all your provisions and a local petrol station.
The clock tower was amusing. It didn't strike at all in the first week, and only at the end of week two did it strike the correct time!
Located high on a hill (a very steep hill I may add!) in a converted monastery this apartment has stunning views across Tuscany. It is a quiet retreat with courtyard, pool and ample shade. It has been sympathetically decorated and furnished but it has all the amenities you would want including satellite TV & dishwasher. The local village has a small supermarket, chemist, bars, pizza & patisserie and there are additional facilities in neighboring villages & towns. Although located off the beaten track the apartment is in close proximity to main roads that take you in all directions across Tuscany. Pisa can be reached within 35mins, Florence within the hour and Sienna within 90 mins.
