Awesome monument!

This is a part of the Slovakian recent history, and there are many monuments similar to this all around the city center. If you spend a while reading their history, you will be overwhelmed by their history and traditions.

Upraising memorial during world 🌎 war two

Just in the middle of main square. Could be but strange for people who did not learn the history of Second World War and afterwards . Those who did could mean both upraising memorial as well communistic influence of use public during communistic time. It is nothing amazing but definitely memory of important part of history

Very easy to find in the city center. A tribute that I am sure many people admire. A popular central meeting place. Quick to see.

Pamatnik

I like memorials that show regular people and are there to remind us of not so good parts of the history. It is right on the main promenade, hard to miss.

Best meeting point in Zvolen

It is the best meeting point in Zvolen, close to main square and close to park, temporary attractions, post etc
Shape is showing part of traditional Slovak shepherds axe "valaska" used as a tool and as a weapon as well.
