Cosy atmosphere, old town and perfect dishes! What more do you want? Great traditional Slovakian meals! We tried Halusky, Vyprazany syr and chicken soup - very tasty! Nice service staff and Christmas mood inside

While in Presov researching my husband and sister in law’s ancestry and meeting living relations, we had dinner at this traditional restaurant downtown. Sarisska Chiza is basically down in an intriguing old brick-lined basement, with rustic decor, and a very extensive menu of country dishes like roasted pork, chicken with potato pancakes, sheep cheese dumplings with bacon, and beef roast with s tumptios little roasted potatoes, plus sauerkraut and pickled cabbage. The pear brandy was breathtaking! Great place to eat in Presov.

If you love traditional Slovak food, this is the restaurant for you!!! First, before we even get to the food, it was in what appeared to be an old wine cellar, and the decor was traditional Slovak---soooooooo beautiful and charming!!!!! And the food was DELICIOUS!!!!! We had the Haluski, pirohi, and halupki, and they were so delicious we had second helpings!!! Wonderful!!!

We came for dinner. Wasn’t crowded at all. The food was good, tasty but could be even better. Had higher expectations. Also the staff could be friendlier and more service-oriented. But we did enjoy our dinner. I loved the premises. Well done with the interior.

The place is a little hard to find and the staff does not speak English, but once you are past these difficulties, you are set for a superb Central-European dinner. The service is very friendly, the portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. We enjoyed the bean-soup (a full dinner by itself), a sour-cabbage soup and of course the bryndza halusky. After some recovery we will be happy to return.
