Hotel Miravalle stands on top of San Miniato, in front of the Duomo, a splendid place, worth being visited. The rooms are nice and comfortable, some large, some smaller, many overlooking the valley with very nice views. The situation is defintely good, the best in San Miniato. Two minus though: there is no acoustic isolation on ceilings, if you happen to have somebody over you, you will hear its movements and even his voice. The breakfast is no good, cheap industrial stuff you would find in one or two stars hotels. Alltogether the service is somewhat approximative, and not appropriated to a four stars. You will have to decide either for the best place in San Miniato or for better service in an other place

Room Tip: ask for large rooms

This hotel is right in the middle of the historic centre of San Miniato. The rooms are very spacious with breathtaking views of the surrounding villages and the Tuscan landscape. It is rewarding to wake up in the morning to look out of the window and enjoy the magnificent views that this historic hotel offers. The rooms are impeccably clean and the service is also very good. We arrived quite late at night and the receptionist was extremely courteous and offered to wait for us and took time to explain the hotel services. The breakfast is continental and the cakes they offer are superb. This hotel offers free parking in the adjacent square and they provide you with a parking pass throughout your stay.

We have stayed in this place for 2 nights in spring. A very pleasant surprise, not far away from the busy Florence. San Miniato is an oasis of tranquility and Miravalle hotel is a great place to get into the Tuscan feeling. With its high ceiling rooms, all necessary room comfort and great view, this hotel also benefits of parking and wifi free of charge. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Nearby there are some amazing places to eat.

Incredible, ancient place, kind staff, unforgettable view from the room (we stayed in th room for 3 pers).
San Minito is a lovely town, exactly in the middle of Tuscany!
The hotel is located inside very old building / caslte, with an inspired history.
Each floor is decorated with an art works.
The restaurant with a panoramic view will let You feel like a bird :)
This is the place to return!

This mountainside hotel, formerly a medieval imperial palace, is at the highest point of a sweet lil' village called Miniato.
That means that you can count on spectacular views looking over houses, vineyards , and olive trees. My room, 103, seems to have previously been some sort of small chapel room.
My bed was more on the solid side, and I only had 6 hours of sleep, but I woke up very refreshed and rested. The breakfast fare--also on the first floor--is 'basic continental', but everything is fresh and well prepared (including an amazing view!).
The surroundings are beautiful so be sure to do some ambling around.
Magnifico!
