You arrive at a lovely reception and think that this is a nice place but then they put you in a buggy and take you to your accommodation which is very poor. You look at another block of rooms to the front and the back, there are 50 steps and a hill to get back to the restaurants, reception and bars. This was not highlighted in the Jet2 brochure (shame on Jet2) and not good for the elderly or people who have difficulty walking. The room was so shabby and dated, all the furniture was very marked and the chair broken although they did replace this with a garden chair. The bed though was brilliant. We were offered a move after 4 days to another block nearer the restaurant but that had loud music blaring out most of the day as it was near the pool

The food was very tepid and I only managed to get warmish scrambled eggs on one day (I warmed it up the other days in the microwave) and no edible steak all week, unable to cut it or eat it although on the last day I thought that I had cracked it but that turned out to be liver in the dish marked beef steak.

We were half board so could only get a choice of wine in the restaurant, only a choice of 2 red wines in the bars. The hotel caters for the AI customer so the lack of choice and the queues were unacceptable.

This hotel should really take note as it could be so much better, the staff were absolutely brilliant and made this holiday bearable, we will not be returning though.

Room Tip: Get an upgrade to a sea view

We came to this hotel for 1 week and I have to say I didn't pay much for the 3 of us considering it was the school holidays .
We were room 5103 which was along side of the pool close enough to restaurant and main hotel and had a sea view of the balcony I think its the only one on this floor with a sea view due to the building design.room was good bed huge and comfortable and so was our daughters cleaned to a very good standard and very quiet we didn't get woke up once by any noise . Food in the restaurant was ok always something to eat but never hot enough I didn't feel wowed by the food and if it wasn't all inclusive then I wouldn't have eaten in there .I only went to the snack bar on the day we left but liked it in there it's a beautiful place to eat. Entertainment was very poor we were tucked up in bed most nights by 11 pm but that was ok because we went away to relax . Others seemed to enjoy the entertainment but we thought the staff tried hard but wasn't for us x
I wouldn't be put of by the reveiws people have posted we had a good time no need to get up early for a sunbeds we got one in the shade every day at about 9 am but you could get a bed any time of the day they must have extra beds because we spotted lots of people(mainly English it had to be said) getting beds next to the pool and then beds in the shade which I felt was naughty pool was never packed and we went 1 St week in august .strolled down to the beach a few times and that was lovely ,bottom line would be we wanted to relax and we did I would go again xx

It was my 4th holiday on Fuerteventura island and the first at Occidental Jandia Playa hotel. I've spent 8 nights there. It's a nice hotel with great service. My room was in block 9, with ocean view, comfortable, near the gym and wellness. There are 2 swimming pools with bar. Water is clean, temperature is fine.
Reception staff is very friendly, ready to help you if you need. I enjoyed all inclusive service with wide selection of food and drinks.
Beach is near and if you like running, you will love the way to Morro Jable.

Room Tip: Block 9 and 3 - rooms with ocean view

Good hotel with lots of amenities all lovely views from the higher floors very comfortable rooms and a wide selection of food at mealtimes overall very good value for money there is quite abit of walking to do to get around the large complex.
