On our penultimate night in Noja we may just have hit upon one of its best restaurants. The menu is limited compared to some restaurants but this is no bad thing as they are able to concentrate on getting it right. We had local Iberico pork dishes that we had not come across in our previous two weeks in the Basque Country. The bolas was to die for, the most tasty, tender and succulent pork that I have ever eaten. My wife's brochette was just as good. We also started with fried salted green peppers and Santona anchovies which were fantastic, the juices mopped up with some crusty bread. Desserts looked bought in, but the flan made with goose eggs was excellent and rich in flavour and the cheesecake more than passable. The manager/owner and staff couldn't have been more welcoming.
