“Very well located apartment”
Reviewed 4 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

The accommodation is divided into a studio and a duplex. We stayed as a party of four in the duplex. The location is superlative, right on the quayside with a stunning terrace overlooking the river and surrounding fields.
There is no key, but an entrance code allows you to access the property (from 4.00 pm on the day of your arrival, but not before). A flight of steep stairs with a very low ceiling takes you to the duplex door, whereupon a further flight of steep stairs takes you up to the actual apartment. These stairs are not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
The apartment has a loo just by the entrance, and then the main room is divided into a sitting area with sofas, and a kitchen/dining area. Oddly located off the kitchen is the simple shower room, with a hand basin. The apartment has plenty of glasses and crockery and cutlery, a fridge, a stove, a good dishwasher, a nice coffee machine an lots of towels and bed linen. Leading directly off the main room is the superb terrace, with a large table and plenty of chairs. It provides the ideal location for breakfast and for pre-dinner drinks.
Up yet another flight of narrow and very steep stairs, in the attic, are the two bedrooms, one with a single bed, bunk bed and camp bed, overlooking the harbour; and the other with a single bed and a large, comfortable double bed, overlooking the small (but noisy in the morning) street at the back of the property.
The single loo and shower is a bit inadequate for any party over two, and the location on the lower of the two floors is a bit inconvenient - but this is not a major issue.
You can park outside for unloading, but for longer periods it is best to park in the large, free car park at the top of the village. (The hotel could be more helpful in providing information about this). To get there is a ten minute drive but a short walk back, as the drive is circuitous. You simply follow the one way system down the harbour and back through the town, out towards the main road about a mile, turn right just before the McDonald's and drive back into town. A final right turn at the crossroads into Rue St Pierre takes you to the car park. You can then exit the car park at the far end and walk down the steps into Rue des Moulins and follow that downhill back to the river front.
Les Corderies is a very good gastronomic choice at the top of Rue des Moulins and Le Mathurin in town is an excellent, family-run seafood restaurant. The restaurant at the Hotel de Port et Bains, however, is rather inadequate.

“Lovely studio, excellent location.”

We stayed at 25 Quai Blavet as part of a trip to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the battle of the Somme. We were staying for a few days so we wanted to enjoy some time by the coast.

The Studio is self contained and very nicely appointed. The view over the bay is gorgeous and the studio is perfectly located in the sleepy town of Saint Valery Sur Somme. As another reviewer has commented, it is quiet of an evening but there are plenty of bars and restaurants to chose from.

On a practical note the studio is located next to a cobbled street and although the traffic is light the windows do not dampen the sound much. Equally you can hear your neighbours in the duplex if they are on the terrace. We were not disturbed but if you're a light sleeper it is something to bear in mind. The bed is very big and very comfortable and we were very pleased with our stay.

If you have a car you can park outside for a limited time or there is a car park just down the road which is 10euro for 24 hours. There is a free car park in the high part of the town at Des Corderies, it's only a 5 minute walk away and is sign posted.

I definitely stay here again, it's a lovely part of the country and the Studio suited our needs perfectly.

“Dead Zone”

The studio apartment was spotless and the views from the windows were amazing. On the downside the duplex apartment that's attached to it could be a problem for some. Only because the duplex patio/veranda is directly above you, and when anybody is walking on it the noise is pretty awful ! There is plenty of life during the daytime, but at night the town is an absolute Dead Zone!! I clicked no to recommending this rental to a friend, the studio was fine but the night life is non existent !

“Lovely Studio, Fantastic Views in a great central Location”
Reviewed 18 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Well equipped with a comfy super king sized bed, we certainly recommend this studio. The stairs are steep and shallow, but fine with knee replacements, you just take them one at a time. We had no difficulty parking close to the studio - its a mixture of metered (10 euro for 24 hours) and 45 minutes only for free. Definitely recommend Bastille Day - though it took us English a while to work out why so many people and fireworks! We found plenty to keep us occupied locally for our 4 days and nights, and the choice of restaurants is truly amazing. We would certainly stay there again. Remember to taket the binoculars.
