Villa Tasca is a great starting point for round trips around eastern Sicily. It is close to attractions such as Valle dei Templi in Agrigento, Villa Romana del Casale outside Piazza Armerina and Syracuse with all its attractions.
Villa Tasca is the perfect starting and landing spot for a day around the area, but also for a day of rest on site. Good breakfast, family atmosphere with friendly and service-minded staff, cozy rooms and amazingly good Italian dinners awaiting guests. We stayed at Villa Tasca for three nights and were very, very pleased.

Of the four places we booked on our 11-day trip to Sicily and Italy, Villa Tasca was the best, by far. In fact, our family group of five wished we had been able to stay more than three days. This is a family-run agriturismo just outside Caltagirone nestled in the low mountains of southeastern Sicily. Loredana Tasca, her two daughters and others made it so homey for us, from the moment we checked in. No place is perfect, so we were able to overlook a few inconveniences, such as the plumbing in the bathrooms and the fact that two rooms in our group were located down the steps from the other. We loved eating on the courtyard, overlooking the hills below. We had our best full-course dinner of our 11-day trip on a Friday night with all dishes cooked by Loredana. The continental breakfast was very nice with homemade yogurt and prickly pear cactus peeled for us by our hostess. We hope to return to Sicily again, and, if we do, you can be certain we will book again at Villa Tasca.

Beautiful location, lovely pool, nice room, excellent value evening meal, tasty freshly prepared breakfast, most welcoming family owner / operators, all for a bargain price. Lots of optional extras (gym, sauna, riding, even table tennis), well located for Caltagirone, Villa Romana del Casale etc. Would highly recommend.

Situated in the countryside a short drive from the town of Caltagirone, Villa Tasca offers rural accommodation in air-conditioned rooms with period furniture. The property is set on beautifully landscaped grounds and is ideally located close to the impressive Villa Romana del Casale. It is family-run and offers a large pool and deck area, lounge areas, decent WiFi, a restaurant serving homely food and ample parking space. Service is friendly but somewhat relaxed. The bathroom in our room was however quite dated and had some plumbing issues. It is also worth noting that the pool area is open for outside guests on Sundays and therefore it gets rowdier.

We were treated as part of the family, with typical Sicilian food prepared with local produce. This is a fully modernised villa run by a friendly family in the outskirts of Caltagirone. This is an ideal location to visit the town, which is very picturesque, provided you have a car. It is much better than staying in the town which is tortuous to drive to and around. Ask for advice as to where to park in town. We stayed on the way to Piazza Armerina. (don't miss the Roman Villa - best I have seen)
