The best restaurant because we tried them all and we ended up going here the last 2 nights because the service is friendlier, the food is served faster and the quality is better. Simple!

The owner of the restaurant is really nice, funny and friendly. She really cares about her customers and it almost feels like being home when there.

Menu is short and only fish but you get a really nice portion of fresh fish and sides are very good too.

Good wine and beer available too.

Highly recommended if in Kalajoki!

They are in another end of the Kalajoki Beach, so not all people even know this one. Nice location, because next to this place are amazing houses(there were Housing Fair couple of years ago). You can order your Fish from the desk or if you have time, you can try to catch it yourself and then they smoke/prepare it to you. Large terrace outside and on a sunny day place was full. Waitress said that it's gonna take awhile to get our food and when we had our portions, they got us some extra Whitefish and again they apologized because it took so long. But no worries for us, because that's how you should handle these kind of situations. We also bought some souvenirs from their little shop, so all good and overall nice, delicious visit

They got special sushi cook visiting, thus tried the sushi. Taste was excellent and all ingredients were fresh. Only complaint I would have was the slow service, though it appeared that normal smoked fish dishes were served rather much faster, thus if you are on hurry, stay traditional.

Fun and exciting to catch such a big fish, and then get it prepared for you with some potatoes, bread and salad - pure awesomeness (and great taste). Highly recommended.

Freshest fish I ever had. We caught a rainbow trout ourselves, great fun with kids! An our later the fish was smoked and ready to eat. All the food (we were there twice and had the 'normal' a la carte as well) was excellent. Small variety but really good! If you like to eat fish, highly recommend this place!
