We had a lovely stay at Glazebrook, to meet up with a couple of friends. It was memorable for many reasons; the VERY interesting interior and wonderfully quirky but incredibly comfortable rooms, delicious food, good wines and excellent service.

My husband and I chose to elope to the UK from sunny San Diego California. We found a moss covered forest that we chose to get married in which is located in Darmoor National Park. I'm a fan of Alice in Wonderland so it was such a perfect surprise to have found this hotel to stay at for our wedding week!

The hotel is decorated beautifully with unique pieces every which way. The restaurant is top notch, but what we found to be exceptional was the service! Pieter the owner and his staff made our week there an absolute dream! We would love to return again, maybe for our anniversary!

Thank you all.

We visited Glazebrook House for lunch to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary
The service, food and drinks was outstanding and the set lunch menu was very reasonably priced for excellent food
We will be back - Thank you GH

We stayed as a couple for five nights, dining in the restaurant on each evening of our stay.

Short version: Glazebrook House is wonderful!

Longer version:

Everything about this place is amazing. I'll begin with the staff. They were lovely. From the moment we arrived they did everything they could to make us feel welcome and valued. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. It wasn't just that they gave great service, but that they actively sought out ways to make us feel special. There were lots and lots of those small touches and considerations that add up to the difference between just feeling like a customer, and feeling like a guest.

Throughout our time at Glazebrook, members of the team adjusted the service they offer - without any prompting from us - to accommodate our preferences. I cannot praise them highly enough.

The food here is gorgeous. Every meal, every dish, was a delight: tasty, well presented, and full of interesting combinations of flavour and texture. Standout dishes were the sage gnocchi and the Tunisian orange cake - but it was all excellent. We were spoilt for choice, and were glad that we had five nights so that we could sample (almost) everything.

The decor at Glazebrook has to be seen to be believed. A huge amount of care has been taken to make every inch of the place interesting and visually delightful (yet somehow to make it seem, at the same time, effortless and natural). There are things to discover at every turn, with collections of unexpected items in surprising places. It is a rich, sumptuous feast for the eyes, but is all done with charm, wit, and a sense of fun.

Our room was beautiful, and followed the eclectic quirkiness of the rest of the house. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Once again, there were lots of those little touches that make such a big difference.

I would like to thank everyone at Glazebrook for making our holiday so special.
