On arrival we were met by a very warm welcome, ordered drinks, then shown to our table in the window. Shortly after we were presented with the menu, including specials of the day, the menus were very good and we were undecided what to order as there were so many delicious dishes to choose from, eventually we ordered the ploughmans sharer for starters, this is quite expensive but when it arrived we could see why, there was loads of food and beautifully presented and tasted lovely. For our main course we ordered Rib Eye steak and the Herb Crusted Lamb, again cooked to perfection and good portions. For desert we ordered the Dalk Chocolate and Hazelnut Brownie and a desert from the cake away selection, again, beautiful, and there was even a lit candle for the birthday boy on his desert and the waitress sang, would definately recommend this place, the staff and food are brilliant .

This was our first visit to the Castle and so glad we gave it a try because the service was excellent and the home cooked food delicious.

A really nice evening all round. The atmosphere was relaxing and we came away clutching a Christmas menu :-)

Came to the Castle inn for a change and was certainly not disappointed. The food was wonderful, we had a good selection of the menu between us and everyone was more than satisfied. The portions were so generous our waitress even offered us a doggy bag to take home. Definitely a new favourite now and will eat here more often. Also worth mentioning is the service, nothing was too much trouble and I don't think I've ever met such friendly staff before.
