We have just stayed for 1 week in this hotel. The rooms are fine with nice sea views. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. Plenty of outside seating areas and a lovely pool with great views. unfortunately the same can’t be said about the food this was of a very poor standard with little or no choice.

we had a standard room with a beautiful view over the bay, all rooms seem to have sea views.
for a four star hotel the room was fine but basic, the safe is free.
there were no black out curtains so the light streamed in at 5am each morning.
the tioletteries were rarely topped up, I had to ask three times for shampoo and shower gel.
there was no decaf coffee.
the carpet on the stairs was lifting up and shabby.
these were the main concerns which didn't meet four star standards.
the breakfast was poor, little choice of fruit that wasn't fresh, nothing like nuts or raisins yo put into cereal.
on the plus side the pool was never busy with an amazing view.
the waitresses and cleaners were berry friendly however the reception staff other than Helen weren't helpful.
the resort is quiet with a pebble beach, few shops some lovely restaurants especially spiro's.
my daughter had a great day subs diving and the hotel does have a mini bus once a week into Corfu town
in summary the hotel isn't what we are used to with four star however if you want a great setting and views it fits the bill.

Great hotel staff food beach pool rooms.
Sea was clear warm and shallow. All areas of hotel were clean. Loads of Taverna's and most had play areas for kids. Food top quality as was service. Everybody very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this place and will be going back. Short stroll to Alykes along the canal was different some nice Taverna's be there by all reasonably priced.

The Akrotiri Beach Hotel is the best we've stayed in. There are astounding views from everywhere on the premises. We paid extra for a sea view room (Thomas Cook) but all rooms had a sea view so we were a little confused. The reception staff told us they had put us in a superior room on the 4th floor. The view from the room was amazing and we didn't have to pay for the air conditioning or the safety deposit box, the balcony was very private and the room facilities were very adequate so I guess it balanced out and we’re not complaining.
The staff are very friendly and gave excellent customer service, particularly Katerina in the restaurant who seems to have an endless supply of energy and always had a smile on her face, I even heard her singing to herself at breakfast one morning.
We were a little apprehensive about the food after reading some Trip Advisor reviews but we ate there 6 nights out of 7. We found the food a little under seasoned for our taste and the menu’s a little repetitive. The set 4 courses were a little bit 'heavy' towards the end of our stay but you can ask to skip the starter if you’re not overly hungry. The breakfast choice was very good and enjoyable. The pool and pool bar staff (another Katerina) were amazing and the food at lunch time was excellent.
The lobby bar is very nice and has stunning views, the young man who waited on us was very friendly and remembered our favourite cocktails (10:30 means it’s Mojito time) which were excellent.
We did however, find the prices a little expensive, between €4 and €5 (pool bar, lobby bar through to beach bar) for a large beer are way more than we paid in Zakynthos last year, perhaps because of the hotel location? Having said that the cocktails were very reasonable at €6.
We found it a little strange that there was nowhere on the premises to buy a packet of crisps? The only real complaint was the price of water, €2 for a large bottle!! Perhaps this is because the next neatest place to buy any was a bit of a trek.
The wi-fi worked and a signal was available all over the complex, easily the best wi-fi we’ve experienced in Greece.
We would go back on our own but we wouldn't take the grand kids, there’s not a lot for the younger ones to do. We are 54 and 56 and felt quite 'young' as the hotel seems to cater for a more mature client, not a fault, just an observation. In balance, we would return now that we are better prepared.

Room Tip: Superior rooms (via Thomas Cook) have better views. Air Con and Safety Deposit box (in our room) came free

The hotel could be perfect - starting with the location, the views that offers, and the friendly and forthcoming service - it it weren't for some details that 'only' makes it very good (and worth returning):
The location provides nice views on both sides of the building – one looking towards the village and the bay (“sunset view side”), the other out onto the sea and coastline ("rocky beach side"). Parking is on site, but gets easily filled up - get in there first...
The rooms have comfy (if a bid hard) beds with two types of pillows. The bathrooms are a bit small and old-style, and partly in need of refurbishment (the rooms - I saw two different ones in the same room category) seem to be in different states of being refurbished) - in some rooms the hair dryer are still ‘hose type’.
Some rooms have external blinds, but then don’t fully close since the mosquito nets were fitted; all rooms are equipped with opaque curtains, but in some cases these are not wide enough – as a result, the corresponding these rooms cannot be fully darkened (but others can, so check).
The TVs in the rooms are pretty small; still, there is an enormous screen in the lounge, and maybe the TV is not the most important item during a holiday in such a beautiful location...
The pool area has a nice view, too, but gets crowded quickly; beach chairs & umbrellas on the public, “sandy” beach have to be rented; the "rocky beach" has free lounge chairs and umbrellas, but only a few places - although normally less crowded.
Note there often is live music in the evening (until about midnight) – due to the openness of the space, don't hope for an early night in (in particular if you are on the "sunset view" side that faces the open terrace)…
Breakfast has a good choice for Greece (even ‘English breakfast’ and pancakes), although the quality of the food itself is rather ok - nothing to write home about, or remember fondly.
Wifi works in common areas only, and with varying quality – during the day (when everyone is out) it works fine, mornings and afternoons / evenings it’s weak / cannot be connected to.
With all the shortfalls, I'll probably be back; maybe that provides the funding for some of the desirable upgrades...

Room Tip: I preferred the view (and the quieter evenings) on the rocky beach side; upper rooms obviously have better views...
