Arrived mid morning after an early flight, a friendly welcome awaited us at the hotel and we were quickly shown to our room.
Lovley spacious room with a view over bay. The room was spotless also had air con, safe and fridge which we found really useful.
We were half board the breakfast was good plenty to have, the dinners were good too if a little boring and unimagative but you had a choice and always found something
The pools were lovely with plently of sunbeds and a beach bar for drinks and snacks. There was also acccess to the sea by a series of steps that had flat areas where there were sunbeds. You could get into the sea at the bottom of the steps.
There was also a small beach just outside the hotel, with snack bars and restaurants, there was also a divibg school, the water was perfect for children.
The area around had lots of other small bays, shops and tavernas, the main beach and monestary was at the far end which was about 25/30 mins gentle stroll.
Just out side of the hotel was a small shop and further up the hill past this was The Tango Bar a great friendly bar with beautiful views over Paleocastritsa, further on was La Gotta another bar out on to the sea, again with amzing views.
The staff at this hotel are brilliant so helpful and friendly and l would not hesitate in staying again.

Room Tip: A higher floor is best

Location: If you want perfect water I'm not sure that it gets much better than the area surrounding this hotel. Much of the tiny bays of sand in Paleokastritsa are only accessible by boat, the water is crystal clear and full of beautiful coral and fish. This hotel is also lucky enough to not only have the view of this area but to have a little stairwell leading down to its own private section where you can jump straight into the beautiful water. There's also a sightly longer stairwell outside the hotel down to a small strip of pebble/sand beach (decent water) with a couple of beach clubs where you can rent your own boat to explore Paleokastritsa and it's little bays yourself.

But that's about where the pluses of this hotel ended for us. The room was ok, beds awful. The bathroom was old - which is fine as long as everything's in working order- but it wasn't. The drain in the shower was clogged, drain in the bathroom floor had a terrible smell coming from it.. no fan just a window to let the mosquitoes in.

The staff at the restaurant were lovely as were most of the staff at reception however the lady who appeared to be the day manager was rude and abrupt. It was about the ONLY bad service we experienced on any of the Greek islands we visited. It was a shame given the perfect location.

Lovely hotel, it seems all rooms have sea views. Relaxed chilled out hotel, check in, relax and enjoy.
No extra charge for Safe, Pool towels or air con, BTW air con great is great, even got a bit chilly! Bathroom sink a little pongy when you turned the tap on, just stagnant water....I think! Got use to it though, shower not great but did the job. Rooms generally tidy, cleaned every day, fridge was really cold and great for drinks we got from supermarket (10 min walk turn left out of hotel).

We spent time on beach, by pool or walking into Paleokastritsa and the Marina, lovely walk takes 25 min slow pace (turn left out of hotel),nice restaurants and Taverna's from the hotel all the way into Paleokastritsa. If staying longer than a week or 10 days car hire a good idea. Also hire a little boat, should pay about 50 Eur for the day there are a few places offering boat hire, so worth it as the beaches are lovely! Turn right out of hotel and take a 10 min stroll, La Grotta bar, go down to the bar for a drink (apply mozzie repellent first), very chilled but it's a great little beauty spot, views from the top are lovely too.

All hotel staff are lovely, they all work so hard and were so welcoming and friendly. Vanya in the hotel bar was great and really looked after us! The team in the hotel pool bar were also great, friendly and welcoming, we could have sat by the pool all day....and night. Reception, restaurant, cleaning, staff all great.

The only improvements in my view was the quality of the limited entertainment and food choice. Food was all a bit samey and starters are quite large, what I did have was ok, we just ate out a few times. I can't say there was anything that would stop us returning to this hotel.

If you want a chilled out relaxing hotel with great staff then you will enjoy.

Rooms nice, small but tidy, good views, cleaned daily,

In need of some well-earned early summer R & R, we booked this hotel at short notice through its efficient website booking process, for a week in June. It was nearly 40 years since we last holidayed on Corfu, before our marriage, and vowed to return one day. Our daughter and her husband had stayed here last September and recommended the hotel to us. Occupying the whole width of a peninsula at the southern edge of the bay, this hotel commands wonderful views across the sea to the south east and across the bay to the north west.

We booked a “Superior Sea view room” which was located on the top floor and with wonderful views to land and sea. The hotel provides a range of rooms to suit both different views and pockets. Some rooms had views across the beach to Paleokastritsa harbour. Apparently all rooms have sea views of one kind or another. Our room was well laid out and comfortable, with excellent glass sliding door and fly screen to a good sized balcony, where a table and two chairs were placed. An efficient air conditioning unit maintained a cool atmosphere and switched itself off whenever the sliding glass door to the balcony was opened. There was enough power outlet points to recharge mobile phones, camera batteries and other such kit as well as free Wi-Fi, safe, fridge and television. Adequate storage for clothes, both hanging and shelves were provided. The bathroom was small but coped with use by one person at a time - so to speak. We asked for a rubber mat for the “shower over bath”, which was provided quickly. Like many hotels outside the UK, the room does not have tea and coffee making facilities (best take a travel kettle as we do).

The lift worked smoothly and efficiently, even if the floor numbering was a little odd. The hotel boasts a large and cool lounge with a very pleasant semi-shaded outside veranda area enjoying wonderful views across the sea to the next headland. Below this veranda area, steps lead down to terraces, built out of the rock face and protected by safety railings, where sun loungers abound and swimmers can access the sea below. Adjacent to the lounge is another large area sporting the bar and outside an extensive veranda, with lovely views to the harbour where you can sit sipping a cool G&T as the sun sets.

Around the pool, whose depth was a constant 1.4 metres, were plenty of sun loungers, with free beach towels obtainable from the bar. A lower sun terrace, shaded in parts by the trees, offered further relaxing as well as a Jacuzzi tub. The bar, set back from the pool area, was well shaded and fitted with comfortable seating. Close by was another covered area where you could sit and enjoy light snacks and lunches, all at reasonable prices and waitress served. We found this lido area to be superb and always found sunbeds free at any time of day.

Reception staff were pleasant and helpful, and the hotel has a free bus service into Corfu town and back on Thursdays only. Those booking a week or more can enjoy free taxi transfers and are met at the airport by a driver displaying an exceptionally clear notice. The hotel website is excellent, including a recently added FAQ page, crammed with many pictures (and others which I have included in this review).

If opting for half board we found the dinners perfectly suitable and adequate with a starter, salad bar and main course set for that day, but with a choice of three or four alternative main courses available. Whilst the menu wasn’t terrible exciting, it did suffice needs. The light and airy restaurant is well decorated and furnished, with many tables along the “large ceiling to floor glass windows” and sliding doors, with lovely views out to sea. The waiting staff, who are pleasant and attentive, serve diners quickly and efficiently. Only the salad bar and puddings are left to diners to self-serve. Breakfast is also self-service and whilst the range of cereals is not vast, plenty of breads, yogurts, fresh fruit, sliced ham and cheese as well as a cooked buffet is available.

Out and about, a walk round the bay to the harbour and back is about 2 miles, with tavernas, and restaurants along the way, as well as scooter and boat trip hire places. Further afield from the harbour you can walk up to the monastery, which dates from 1225 and is open to the public at certain times, but be warned it’s a stiff climb.

All in all we enjoyed our stay here and was blessed with wonderful weather, every day being “W2WBS” (wall to wall blue sky) with daily temperatures climbing quickly to the mid 80 degrees F. Sun screen and hats are a must in such conditions.

Would we stay at this hotel again - most certainly, if in that area.

We don't expect the height of luxury when we travel to Greece but this hotel lived up to all the good reviews I had read about it. Yes we had trouble closing our balcony door which needed to be closed for the air conditioning to work and the plumbing was a little suspect. Some aspects of the hotel are in need of refurbishment but overall it is superb for the money. The food wasn't of the highest quality especially the cooked breakfast but if you chose carefully from the buffet it was easy to make yourself a really tasty meal and the same thing applied to the evening desserts. The starter was always a meal in itself with a help yourself salad and this was followed by a choice of four main courses. We were never disappointed over the ten days stay. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the waitresses in particular could not have been more friendly. The biggest plus though for this hotel is it's location with beautiful views from all rooms with the top floor probably being the best. My son and I had a horrific accident on a rented quad bike which resulted in being taken to hospital and many stitches. The people of Corfu could not have been more helpful and I thank them from the bottom of my heart and I only mention this to make you aware of the dangers involved in taking a quad bike on the open road. I am convinced our vehicle had faulty steering as it just careered off a straight piece of road. It still failed to ruin a great holiday.

Room Tip: If you want a really nice room choose 517. It is a suite and must be worth the extra.
