“Friendly and food quite good apart from the chips”

We used this restaurant a good few times during our 2 week holiday. The food was mostly good, but we didn't like the chips, which were more like potato wedges in their skins and often quite cold. We tended to order things without the chips. This place is friendly, especially the older guy who takes the orders. There is a young granddaughter here called Elektra I believe. She is just one years old and very cute.

We ate in the Village Inn many times and got to know the family well as we used to see the grandmothers, daughter Mandy and granddaughter on Vrahos beach daily.
Always had a great welcome, the food was delicious every time and what I couldn't finish due to the portion sizes I took home in a doggy bag.
Clive really enjoyed his octopus on our last night and we enjoyed every meal.
The best restaurant in the village, large portions, great service and spotless.
Hope to see you next year.
Sue and Clive

We are staying in Vasilikos for a family wedding and are eating at various tavernas. The Village Inn seems to be the best. The food is excellent. The service is friendly and welcoming. We even got a takeaway one night and the food was at the same high standards. They catered well for children and adults. The chicken souvlaki is second to none along with the octopus.

We dined here on a few occassions during our stay and had some lovely meals, they seem to have a few greek dishes on the menu that aren't widely offered elsewhere, we would particularly recommend the Manestra Giouvetsi for example. As we were told by the owners daughter, in Greece, if you can't say you have too much then you don't have enough!! That gives you a good idea of the portion sizes!!! The food was tasty and service was lovely, occassionally slow when busy but this was something we found all over as restaurants struggle to deal with peak times. We were welcomed like family and wouldn't hesitate to recommend eating here.

I came here twice, each time the food was good and the service was ok. Second time, everything was ok except the unexpected bill. And I'm not talking about the 2 euro we paid for the appetizer we did not ask and did not touch. I got used to it since the first time. I am talking about a pineapple juice with ice that clearly came from a can, and was not even a fresh pineapple juice, that costed 4 euros instead of 2,5 like it was wrote in the menu. Too bad, I would have probably continued to eat here for several times and spend therefore a lot more than 1,5 €.
