Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children aged 12 and 11) had a fabulous holiday at the Tria during the the last two weeks of August 2018. From the moment we arrived when Phillip greeted us by name and showed us to our room carrying our bags, to leaving when Eleni (Helen) got up at the crack of dawn to see us off, we cannot fault this place.

Our 2 bedroom refurbished appartment was spacious and clean with plenty of wardrobe/cupboard space and loads of hangers. We paid for the air con which is payable locally and pricey at 5 Euros per night per bedroom, but we felt it was worth it in the heat of August. All the rooms booked with Thomas Cook overlook the pool and you can see the sea too in the distance. The rooms were cleaned every day bar Saturday and the towels and sheets changed a few times during our stay.

Phillip, Eleni and Yannis are fantastic hosts, and work their socks off to give you a wonderful holiday. Nothing is too much trouble. We hired a car from them whilst there which was great to see the island and they organised a trip for us to the Aqua park with the local travel shop.

The Bar/restaurant is open all day from 9.30am and the food is cooked wonderfully by Eleni - everything we had was very tasty and reasonably priced. The bar shuts when the last person leaves at night! We had the spit roasted lamb on one of the Sunday's wer were there and I can honestly say it was the best I have ever tasted, and the mint sauce was fabulous...I meant to get the recipe from Eleni before we left but I forgot! :( The Greek night at Tria was also great - lovely food and good fun; the dancers were great and plate smashing went down well too! We met some lovely people whilst we were there too, some first timers but lots of guests we met have been going to these apartments for years, some several times a year and you can see why.

The pool is lovely, and was great for our children as they are older. It is very deep (there is only a very small section that is shallow for little ones) but this was great for us as the children had fun diving and playing on inflatables - lots are left behind by previous guests so are shared by everyone around the pool. Plenty of sunbeds for all guests as there are only 17 rooms, and most of the time we were there there were sunbeds free all day - a pleasant change from lots of places where you have to be up at the crack of dawn to secure a bed round the pool!

The apartments are a little out of the village but the amazing bakery with very friendly staff is just over a 5 minute walk (bread and baklava & pastries were very tasty) and there is a supermarket next door to pick up your essentials - you can also buy 6 packs of 1.5 litre bottles of water from Phillip at the bar which will save carrying a heavy load back from the supermarket.

Arillas is a beautiful place, lovely sandy beach, clear shallow water and enough tavernas to try a different one every night in 2 weeks (we didn't have a bad meal anywhere we went) and a few bars too, some with live music a few nights, and we felt it had a lovely atmosphere and a charm about it - no wonder people return year on year. The sunsets are also fantastic.

There are 2 ways to walk to the centre of the village from Tria, both are mostly flat and take about 15 minutes, but there are tavernas/bars en route and it was no problem. We actually enjoyed the walk in the evenings - although I would recommend taking a torch for the walk back as some of the road is unlit.

All in all we had a fantastic holiday. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Tria Adelphia to anyone, it really is a lovely place to stay. Thank you Phillip, Eleni (Helen) and Yannis for making our holiday so memorable... we will certainly return in the future.

Room Tip: Don't forget mozzie spay/plugs!

Our family of 12 booked this holiday a year ago, and waited for what seemed like forever! On arrival, after a 120 min transfer (due to an error with another party), we were greeted at the coach by Yannis, with a handshake and a warm smile, and showed to our apartments.
The apartment was very clean, tidy and typically Greek; wooden furniture and shutters, tiled shower room with toilet, shelf, mirror with light, and sink, 2 bedrooms with twin beds, bedside tables, dressing table with mirror, and plenty of wardrobe space, kitchen/diner with mini oven/hob, kettle, fridge with freezer box, sink, cupboards, dining table with 4 chairs, and enough crockery, cutlery, pans, and basic utensils for four people.
We were in an apartment that hadn’t been refurbished yet, but there was nothing really wrong with it; it was freshly painted and clean, and a lady came in most days to make the beds, empty the bins, fold the towels and sweep and mop the floors, which was a lovely unexpected touch in self-catering apartments! There was a block of apartments that had been refurbished and my brother had one of these; it was more updated, airy and fresh, and had new windows and shutters, still typically Greek, clean and tidy.
All balconies overlooked the beautifully clean and picturesque pool area and we spent many happy hours eating on our balcony, or just watching the world go by! The balconies(or terraces on ground floor) are equipped with 4 chairs and a table (or 2 in 2 bed apartments)
The pool area and bar/restaurant was always spotlessly clean; proudly looked after by Philip, Eleni (Helen) and Yannis, the lovely family who ran this beautiful place. There was always at least one of the family in the bar which also served as the reception. Most of the time all 3 were present. All were friendly and cheerful, from morning til late in the evening, always chatting to the customers and were always there for anything we needed; their English was excellent! Helen cooked the meals, which were available all day and night, and the menu was varied and excellent. We ate there many times and were never disappointed!
The Sunday lamb spit roast was absolutely devine, prepared by Helen and cooked all day by Philip. The weekly Greek night was fab; the food was lovely barbecued meats, the professional dancers were brilliant and everyone was encouraged to get up and dance! We had a great time!
Arillas is a small village but very picturesque, with a beautiful beach. We had a 20 minute walk to the shops and bars on the seafront which was a nice stroll. Every restaurant was excellent, every meal we had was well prepared and delicious, the staff were all very friendly and couldn’t do enough for customers. Our favourite was Athina, which is the first one you come to on the road from Tria Adelphia. Spiros and his family who run the place are lovely, and couldn’t be more welcoming!
In short, we had a fantastic holiday and were very sad to leave. We wouldn’t hesitate to return here; most of the people who were staying in the apartments had returned year after year! We would wholeheartedly recommend the Tria Adelphia for families and couples, and single travellers would not be lonely here either. Thank you to Yannis, Philip and Eleni who made our holiday so special, we will always remember our fabulous time in Arillas xx

Philip and yannis We're so welcoming and Helen cooks the most amazing food. Nothing was too much. This is a great place for kids everyone shares the inflatables with each other there's no fighting over sun loungers and all the guests get on like they've known each other for years. Would highly recommend this place. Can't wait to go back.

We have just returned from a week at the tria and it was amazing. Having such busy lives we were in need of a relaxing family holiday and we definitely got one here. Philip, Helen and yannis are so welcoming, many of the other people staying there at the same time as us had been there before and everyone seemed like old friends. The food was amazing, the apartments were nice and clean and views were beautiful. Honestly couldn't give this place enough praise, we will definitely be returning next year.

We have just returned from Tria and would like to thank Philip, Helen and Yannis for making this the best holiday we have had.
Philip welcomed us on arrival and helped take our luggage to the apartment (2 bedrooms) which was a good size and very clean. The balcony was overlooking the pool and had a lovely view over the fields to the sea.
The pool is large, warm and very clean (try getting the kids out of it at the end of the day :-)) and the pool area is large enough to accommodate everybody staying at the apartments with sunbeds always available.
The food was lovely and generous, the greek and english breakfasts were very good and my son particularly liked the bacon and egg roll.
Everyone we met at Tria were very friendly, quite a few of them have been going back for many years. Great to have met Simon who has been going back for 23+ years and it was lovely to see how much Tria has changed over that time from his photos, and also Yannis growing from boy to man.
The walk to the beach was a shock at first given that there are no paths, more so at night with the lights being out, but the roads weren’t so busy that you felt unsafe and we soon got used to it (take a torch for the night walk back). Plenty of places to stop off on the way for food or drinks as well, so the 20 minute walk down doesn’t feel too arduous.
I’m pleased to say that Arillas has kept it’s small village feel, mostly family run apartments and small hotels, not very commercialised. There are still with plenty of restaurants and bars to comfortably fill a two week holiday, there were many that we still have yet to visit!
One of the lovely surprises was that most of the apartments allowed you to use their pools and sunbeds for free. We always bought drinks and snacks but didn’t feel any pressure that this was expected.
The beach was amazing and never got too crowded and the sunbeds and umbrella were really cheap at only 7.50 euros a day (they cost 24 Euros per day last year in Ibiza). It has a great stretch of sand and crystal clear water that stays shallow for a long way out, so brilliant for young kids.
Halfway back to Tria after a day at the beach we often stopped off at Hotel Marvel for drinks while the kids played in the pool. (Pool closes at 7pm). Again we were warmly welcomed by the owners.
For food outside of Tria, I would recommend the bakery on the walk down, lovely pastries for breakfast or to get a snack to take to the beach. Also highly recommended is the Sweet and Salty nearer the beach on the way down, fantastic pancakes, crepes and waffles all freshly made and very generous portions.
Our favourite evening meals were at Athina opposite Hotel Marvel, Kostas on the Beach, Mirage and Thalassas, but TBH the food was good everywhere we ate. The pizzas at Lithero were the best we’ve had outside of Italy.
I’ll finish off by again thanking Philip, Helen and Yannis for making us all feel so welcome, for the wonderful food and chats at the bar. We will be back and are very much looking forward to seeing you all again.
