Great choice in Kenya!
Truly amazing huge garden - jungle actually.
Diani Beach - beautiful!
Hotel staff is simply great! Smiling all the time, so helpful.
Rooms are very nice - would recommend the Maridad section.
Supposedly the best hotel in Diani, and the only hotel that serves bottled water in rooms (which is very important in Kenya...!)
Safari (at least 3 days) is a must-do thing! - bought it from the guys on the beach and was more than happy! - Six Lions (Joseph) did a great job organizing it!
All water sports - find Boris - great guy!
In general, amazing time.

We stayed for a week at this lovely resort and so glad that we did.

We were part of a group celebrating their school reunion and the staff and the management were extremely accomodating to our needs.

Accommodation:
Our group stayed in the Maridadi section which was I think the quieter section and almost at the end of the section. It felt it was the newer part of the resort and quite close to the beach and the quiet pool areas.
It is quiet a distance from the main reception so be prepared a stroll especially if coming back to the rooms late at night. It is very safe but the paths are very dimly lit and if it rains you may be stepping in puddles!

Rooms:
Clean big rooms with chairs and a lounger in the patio (on the ground floor)
Great air conditioning and a fan.
Hot water and water pressure can be a hit and miss depending on the number of guests showering at the same time.
Ample toiletries, towels, dressing gowns, slippers, fridge, tv and water bottles.

Food:
We were very impressed with the food. 3 big buffet restaurants and a pizza bar.
Kole Kole restaurant had the most selection followed by Kole Kole and Maridadi.
Chefs were more than happy to customize your order to accommodate any dietary restrictions.
Ample choice for vegetarians and variety of cuisines.
Although the fruits were slightly dissapointing, no fault of the resort but more of the change of season.
Wait staff was extremely friendly.
One suggestion I have for the management is if they can find a way to cover the yummy deserts from wasps and flies.

Bars:
3 bars, we spent time mostly at Baobab.

Spa:
Totally worth it, we had a body scrub, massage and facial, 2 hour package and it was more than worth it.

Front Desk:
Always helpful and will go out of their way to assist.

Pools:
We loved Kole Kole and Maridadi.

Beach:
Nice beach but there is sea weed, not as clean as as what you would expect in Dominican Republic or Cuba but still great.

Overall great experience and despite the fact that it rained heavily for two days out of 7 we were not disappointed.

Thank you to the staff of Boabab resort for making class of 79 reunion a huge success.

We visited from 17th to 27th Oct to Celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Everything about Baobab was perfect. The setting, our room, the grounds,
the staff from bar to waiters to guards to house keepers to gardeners, the location was beautiful the restaurants fantastic, the food ammmazzzzzzing ( we didn’t notice any dishes being repeated during our stay) the bars lots of choice for your drinks, ask Edward to make your coffee. The grounds and all areas were spotlessly clean And the monkeys were characters, kept you smiling with their antics. We were disappointed that you can’t make more use of the beach without the lookylooky men bothering you but that’s not something the Baobab are responsible for. Would it be possible to cordon off a small area for the hotel guests?? A shame the coral is gradually being destroyed but sadly that’s a sign of the times. We will return, thank you Baobab.

Who doesn't like a hotel that let's you eat as much bacon as you want! Was back at Baobab for the second time this year with family. Enjoyed our stay despite having landed there in the rainy season. Being the second time around, it was easier to know which bar served better cocktails and at what time the crisps and meatballs who be served before dinner. The entertainment went down a notch in comparison - the long lip synced plays were a bit of a bore (preferred the dancing). Also best to book early to get the nicer rooms because it's a popular spot. Still love it!

Lovely hotel, well maintained and fantastic views (when the weather is good!) the jambo team work really hard but can be a little pushy. We found ourselves having to 'hide' from them at times. We were two girls travelling alone so I think that might of had something to do with it... food is of a high standard and is all tasty and fresh although it did get a little repetitive after two weeks. The pizza from the pool bar is amazing though and the afternoon tea gave a bit of variation when you just wanted a light bite rather than a full meal! The hotel is an ideal base for safari and a trip to pilli pipa for snorkelling (highly recommended!) a trip to ali barbours cave for a change of scenery is good too, we paid £90 for a two course meal for two with 4 drinks which is a little steep but the setting and location as well as the lobster was worth the money, they collect you and drop you back at your hotel too so I'd imagine the price reflects this. You read a lot about the monkeys and baboons being pests in the hotel but we had no problems, yes they're around and security do their best to keep them away but unless you bother them and tempt them with food they won't cause you a problem! Overall a great holiday!
