Me, my wife and my 10 month old son stayed at Kole Kole for 7 days in mid May 2017. I enjoyed the variety of food, the pools are amazing and the staff friendly, the chief team were great in particular Chef David, he was really great, My 10 month old son was not enjoying eating the soups and the other food available, and Chef David noticed this and talk to my wife and offer to make my son what he likes to eat, and like clockwork for every lunch and dinner he had made my son his favourite food, all we had to do is sit down at the restaurant and ask one of the waiters to get it for us and give them our room number and it was ready.

The room where of a great quality at Kole kol. The room service staffs are professional. The Kolekole swimming pool was a favourite with a buzz of activities as well as the night entertainment at the Porini amphitheatre. The staff from the reception and the waiters are professional, friendly and helpful

We really enjoyed the amenities! The landscape of the resort is picturesque and exquisite. The beaches are clean and beautiful and the pools are clean, warm, and offer nice views! We also liked the possibility of seeing monkeys and baboons as you walk to activities.

despite booking early for a group holiday consisting of 13 people (4 families). We were sent a rooming list indicating that we were grouped according to the various families. However on getting there my children were in a room on 1st floor while I was placed in a room on 3rd floor. Despite complaining to the front office no change was made.

Was here with some friends mid march,we were picked at the airport and on arrival we got some drinks, the rooms we were assigned were in bad condition but after talking to the staff we were moved to better rooms though they were so reluctant to do this and that is why i gave them a 4.
The hotel is very beautiful with 3pools and and 3 restaurants though at the time the maridadi restaurant was not on use due to low season.
The staff at baobab restaurant are very friendly compared to the staff at kolekole.
Very beautiful view to the beach.
Food was very good and really loved the jungle night.
Entertainment team well done, please don't t miss out on the entertainment when there
Very good place for kids too because they have kids activities, kids dinner is early.
Big up to zamani he made our stay great.

Will be coming back with the whole family.

Nb:would recommend the rooms at kolekole.

I had an awesome holiday. The service was excellent. We were picked from Ukunda airstrip by a very friendly driver and we enjoyed since that very moment. The rooms are fantastic and well kept. The food has great variety. You will need to be cautious about the monkeys as they can enter your room. Overall great experience.

4 of us stayed in baobab part. All inclusive option. Rooms were ok, clean and towels changed everyday. Staff super nice , helpful and polite. Food was diverse both breakfast, lunch and dinner with lots of veg and meat. Men need to wear longer trousers for dinner otherwise refused entrance. They have 2 restaurants in different parts of the premises which are accessible to all guests regardless of the part of the premises you stay at. There is also a'la carte restaurant to dine in at additional costs. We never tried it though. Desserts were very average though; sponge and jelly type ones. Staff works very hard serving drinks to the table. They have 3 swimming pools with bars in different areas serving house alcohol all day. Every night they provide entertainment in amphitheatre, singing , comedy , dancing etc. Some good but All mostly for pensioners though. I mean the idea of the type of performance was weak but artists were super talented , boys were funny and handsome and girls smiley and sexy. They work hard there. Music by the swimming pool was killing , please change it to some African vibe maybe? Would be nice to feel like in Africa and not in the USA 20years ago, too old fashioned. Asked to change it few times but DJ was constantly on a break. Was so annoying after a while. they don't have sun beds on the beach so 90% of tourists spend their time by the pool. But don't be scared to go to the beach, beach boys are annoying sometimes but after few days they get to know you more and know not to bother you that much anymore. A boy called Alex can arrange a trip to ukunda school for you for a small fee. We did it and were super happy to see the village, church and kids at school. He took us back there once again for Sunday mass. Unforgettable experience. Just don't forget to bring some sweets to the village kids. Incredible experience so dont be scared to trust beach boys. Tour agencies at a hotel are more expensive without a reason really. We also took a taxi driver for a half day trip to Mombasa from a hotel. We felt safe and were happy about the choice. Taxi service prices are written in a book. Internet doesn't really work in rooms so I had to come down to the ground floor to get a proper access. The whole premises is big and spacious , felt safe and comfortable there. It's located quite far from the nearest shops and a market so taxis are a must. Be aware of the monkeys , they get inside the rooms, they broke into ours when we were not there. Lock the terrace doors properly.
