There are three small villas in this location, all with a very similar layout. We stayed in the three-bedroom Villa Pilos. The villas are a little way off the road up a narrow private drive and surrounded by olive trees. A sharp hairpin bend in the drive means that access to the top two villas would be tricky with a large car. The location is very peaceful and private but still only a very short drive from Gialova’s beachfront and tavernas. The balcony provides a lovely place to eat, with views down to Navarino Bay. The kitchen was adequately resourced for a group of two or four but would not have had sufficient utensils for six people. The villa is clearly designed for adult guests and is really not suitable for small children owing to the steps and relatively deep pool. We appreciated the maid service which was provided every three days and the pool was checked regularly early in the morning. The wifi was good and a minor problem with it was fixed within hours.
The villas offer access to excellent local beaches, including the famous Voidokilia beach. There is a good, small, local supermarket and there are many interesting historical sites in the area including Nestor’s Palace and the excellent NeoKastro in Pylos. For those interested in wildlife, the Gialova lagoon is very close. In summary we had a lovely holiday in Villa Pilos and would certainly recommend it to others.More
